I need to divert my attention and I know Diego will understand me too. This time I will choose Diego over my desire to take revenge on Killian. "You really did a good job, Miguel," I said with a smile to one of the gammas, Miguel. "Thank you, dear Luna. I have no other desire but to protect the entire bloody scar." he replied with a smile. “How many training sessions have you done? A hundred times or a thousand more?" I asked him with a smile. He laughed at what I said and I laughed too. Miguel is the best gamma fighter of bloody scar. I can't count how many fights he has won in the Arena and against our enemies before. He still hasn't changed so much. I'm proud of him.

Velvet couches hugged the walls, lit under dim, expensive chandeliers. The drinks flowed fast, the laughter louder. Xander raised his glass. "So guess what? This month, I beat Miguel. Eight girls." Marcia laughed, almost spilling her wine. "You counted? God, you're such a loser." Miguel chuckled dryly, brushing a hand through his hair. "Dude, are you even trying anymore?" Xander teased. "Or did your last girl ruin your charm?" The words struck. Miguel forced a smile but didn’t reply.

Aira's Perspective: Miguel and I were in the same place, but we kept our distance from each other. Earlier, while Mom and I were preparing food, we discussed Miguel. Even though he's here, Mom is determined to send Miguel back to where he truly belongs. I also asked if Miguel knew about Mom's illness. The shock on Mom's face confirmed that he did, though she didn't deny it. I didn't feel sorry for him, but I empathized because he had to suppress his emotions in our current situation.

Miguel jumped up and down and screamed, “Yes!’’ as he punched the air with his fist and then bumped fists with Ximena. “This is a good win even though it’s only a minor victory.” He returned to his seat as they settled to talk about the specifics. But they interrupted as his phone rang again. Another message from Tania: “I know you’re a busy man. But Miguel, I need just five minutes of your time.” Ximena noticed his distraction. "Everything okay?" Miguel paused briefly, before pulling out his phone and showing her the message. Ximena's expression tightened. “What are you going to do?” She asked, her voice as cold as ice.

Ariel managed to smile back, stroking her arms. “Hi..” “What's going on downstairs?” She questioned. “Oh that? That's why I'm here. Miguel is leaving for New York and he won't be back for days.” Xander announced, particularly happy for her. Ariel instantly felt a weight being lifted off her, a tear threatening to fall from her eye. “A breath of fresh air… finally.” She muttered.

She grinned widely just as Selena and Miguel came into view. “The gang's back together!” Selena cheered and gave Serenity yet another tight hug followed by Miguel. “Lord help us all.” Miguel sighed dramatically, but the look quickly turned into a friendly smile as he reached a hand out to Xander, “Hi, I’m Miguel Ramirez. This crazy sister’s husband.” He threw a thumb over his shoulder at his wife who poked him in the side. “Awesome sisters, Miguel. Get it right!” Serenity scoffed. “No, no, ‘crazy sisters’ is right.” Miguel shook his head nonchalantly. “So Xander, how do you know Serenity?” He smiled, clearly unaware of the history between them.

Everything with Xander was ritual, power dressed as routine. “You surprise me, mio. I didn’t think you’d come. I thought you would change your mind and call last night’s conversation a tongue slip and leave it at that.” He took a sip watching my reaction, testing my desperation. “I Honour my words.” I said taking a strp forward to show my sincerity, “Miguel didn’t give me a reason. He didn’t give me a choice. He said three days,” I exhaled, slow. “And I have two.”

“South side of the city. Old dockyard.” Miguel grabbed his gun. “Then we go now.” As they drove away, Miguel looked at the dark road ahead. He felt the clock ticking in his head. Seventy-two hours. That was all he had. If he failed, Ximenna would die. And that was something he would never allow.

He just wanted to be alone right now. "I've given you enough space now can you please come out!" He said . "I'm up here " Xavier finally said tiredly. "What ?!" "Up where " Miguel said as he rushed to the rooftop also . "Jezz, do you want to kill yourself " Mia asked immediately he got there. "Will you please come down , this is not worth your life " Miguel said as he looked up at Xavier on the wall where he sat. "I'm not jumping off , I just want to be closer to the stars" he replied.

Returning my attention to the two men in the front seat, Xander had his legs plopped on the dashboard as he scrolled through his tablet. “Why are you the one driving Miguel, shouldn't this big head be kept busy all through the two hours ride?” I mused, eyeballing an unbothered Xander. Miguel chuckled softly, “actually, I am a better driver than Xander. He doesn't do long journey rides.” I hummed, “I see why he feels so confident spreading out his legs with no remorse.” He dropped the tablet on the side and turned to me. “Do you mind leaving me name out of your mouth for the rest of this ride?”
