Jiro’s sister.” I swallowed hard, my grip tightening on the doorframe. “What brings you here, Ms. Fujibayashi?” Her gaze flicked past me, into the apartment, where Hibiki’s laughter echoed softly. “May I come in? I believe we have much to discuss.”

My eyes are still fuzzy making it hard for me to see too far. Kane moves out of the way to reveal a lady in her late twenties. She has long mousy brown hair and is tall and thin.

Offering a military salute by crossing their hands over their chest they stood facing her. Jelena Savage was not as old as one would expect from the leader of an entire race. She was only 17, even younger than Axel by a whole two years! Her hair was braided just above both her ears, her eyes watched coldly like a hawk and inside them, one could sense ruthlessness emanating from her whole being. I waved my hand in dismissal. “What about that girl over there? I saw you talking to her before. And I saw her at a party with Mike the other night. You know…before he was…murdered,” Jaimie said in a hushed tone. I looked in the direction he was looking and saw Marina. She was alone this time. “I don’t think so, man. She would never agree to it,” I said. She already hated me. This would just put a cherry on top. “Try for me. How about this, if you can convince her, I can help you take some pretty interesting pictures,” Jaimie said and smiled mysteriously.

Dmitry raised an eyebrow at me and I answered him with a confused shrug. ‘Can you walk with her for a bit?’ I asked Micha. ‘I guess…’ he replied, shifting uncomfortably. ‘What’s wrong with you lately, Mishka?’ I eyed him suspiciously. He avoided my eye but shrugged. ‘Nothing’ he mumbled. I was about to ask him something else but Dmitry called me over. I ran harder than I had in a while, clearing my mind, and focusing on my timing. I only had about 2 and a half weeks until training started and I was determined to be ready for it.
