I tilted my head, my tone light and cruel. “Haven’t you missed me… your bestie, Aurora?”
Her eyes widened—panic blooming across her face. She tried to move, to scream, but her body refused her.
I reached into my bag and pulled out a syringe filled with a clear, glistening liquid. I held it up to the light, letting it catch her trembling reflection.
“And… I brought you a little gift.”
