Ruin me, Stepbrother
I talked about being convinced that my stuffed animals came alive at night and having elaborate conversations with them before bed until I was like twelve.
"Twelve?" Miles said. "That's... actually kind of concerning."
"I was a weird kid."
"Clearly."
About an hour into the drive, we stopped at a gas station to fill up and grab snacks. Miles bought an absurd amount of junk food, chips, candy, beef jerky, energy drinks, and he said we needed "provisions" even though we had an entire cooler full of actual food in the back.
"This is camping law," he said seriously as he loaded up the basket. "You can't rough it in the wilderness without Doritos and Swedish Fish."
