Three Failed Exams After Mom's Bedtime Milk

Three Failed Exams After Mom's Bedtime Milk

One day, my colleague was late for work. Holding two packs of fresh milk, she apologized embarrassedly, "I'm sorry. I woke up late. Have you eaten? Drink some milk. It's sold by the farm here, and it's different from these beverages." I rejected her instinctively. After giving up on taking the college entrance exam, I never drank fresh milk again. But since she insisted that I try it, I took a sip. I was stunned. "Did you say you got the milk from the dairy farm?"

Flour, Sugar, and a Crock of Lies

Flour, Sugar, and a Crock of Lies

I suddenly remembered how Lucas used to tell me that being short was cute. Back then, I thought he was comforting me. Turns out, he genuinely had a thing for it. The girl handed me the boxed egg tarts. I accepted them with a smile and casually asked, "Are you new here? I don't think I've seen you before." The employee beside her immediately chimed in familiarly. "Jessica, you haven't been here in ages. She's the new college student who works at our shop—Lucy Lacher. Your husband recommended her."

The Last Thunder

The Last Thunder

Jai replied nervously. “Really now? So, what stories do you have for me, boys?” Claude smirked. Darrion faked a cough and reached out to Jai. “Err, Jai, my milk.” “Err, sure. Here you go…” Jai took the small milk box from his trouser’s pocket. It was the one that they bought from the drug store as Darrion’s prescription. Shoru lied down on the bed and looked at Claude with her big violet eyes. She was prepared for a long storytelling.

Dear Stepbrother

Dear Stepbrother

I said, scrambling to get my books. "History, anthropology, the study of old stuff, same shit," He said as he gulped down a carton of milk. "Where'd you get that milk from?" "Your fridge," "Dude! That milk's been in there since before I left for Hawaii!" Cole choked on the milk and ran frantically to the bathroom. "You're such a moron. I still can't believe you got into Columbia with me. Who'd you bribe, huh?" I rolled my eyes as I chased him down to the bathroom.

This book has been one of my favorite books from you author. The love story of Ry and K is amazing. I would still read them from time to time and not get bored of their story. I love your writing especially on a romantic love story. So many emotions, laughter and tears.

Caught in-between Scammers

Caught in-between Scammers

His dad tells him, as his mother hands it to him saying. “Junior, you need to sit upright when drinking your milk in order to gulp it down well.” Junior leaves his dad`s laps and sits near his father on the couch just the way his mother had suggested. Then he started sipping his milk in his usual slow manner. He turned and looked at his dad with a requesting regard and reiterated, “Dad, I am listening. You were saying that Scheherazade did what to who? How and why? Is she herself a good story?”

The Boy who Circled Time

The Boy who Circled Time

Breathe in one two three four five Breathe out one two three four five Lila, as soon as the gossiping milk man had left, had hauled all the crates of milk first into her yard to lock the back gate first for the sake of sanity, before moving the stack into the café itself, placing them all into the line of freezers that made up the back kitchen of the establishment.

The Lies They Told in Sicily

The Lies They Told in Sicily

One early summer evening, Mark came home early. He said he wanted to take me somewhere. He didn’t bring anyone along or check my bag or belongings. He just held my hand and led me to the car. The car drove out toward the countryside, the sun sinking behind the hills. As he drove, he suddenly said, “Eliza, today is my birthday.” The road stretched on, and I watched the sunset through the window while he slowly shared his past. “When I was eleven, I killed a man to save my mother. My father didn’t care about my mother or me. He had many women and children, and my mother was just one of them.”

Our Story Had Ended Long Ago

Our Story Had Ended Long Ago

The color drained from his face. His mouth opened slightly, like he was searching for words, but nothing came out. I didn't wait for an answer. Instead, I rolled up my sleeve and held out my arm, showing him the scar on my wrist. "You probably didn't know this, but when you first sent me to the countryside, I fell into depression. "I tried to end my life more than once. "There were so many times I thought I wouldn't make it. "But I pulled through. And I met someone who truly loves me."

Love and Loyalty: The Mafia Tale

She might help me get out of here. I walked towards her and she put the tray with delicious-looking food on the side table. She held her gently. The woman looked at her and murmured. "You're really beautiful." Woman murmured. "Please, can you help me? Please, a guy kidnapped me. Help me please." She asked helplessly. "Eat your food. And I can't help you, my child." The woman told her softly. "I will not eat. Help me get out of here, please." She pleaded.

Mackayla’s Story

Mackayla’s Story

It was the first time they had heard Blake say those words in a very long time. He called Mackayla just as she was getting ready to lay down. "I am sorry I am calling so late. “It's okay I am still awake and glad to hear from you. How is eveything going?” “Not to good one of the cubs has stopped nursing by design. Jada is going nuts and someone poisoned the water through for the horses." "Oh my goodness I am so sorry Blake. What the heck is going on?
