Claimed by My Bestie's Alpha Daddy

Claimed by My Bestie's Alpha Daddy

“We’re just helping you remember who you really are.” “You drugged me.” “We restored you. It's only painful because you’ve lived inside a lie.” I gripped the bars tighter, forcing myself to breathe. The burn in my limbs sharpened. My thoughts splintered again, spinning out of reach. The world warped, the trees curled in impossible shapes, the sky pulsed like it was alive. My fingers twitched with a mind of their own.

Minding My Own Business

Minding My Own Business

Just then, the introductions ended, and we were given a five-minute break. Aurora walked over, her pretty eyes drifting toward Matt beside me every now and then. Their eyes met. In that instant, Aurora's face turned bright red, and the sweet fragrance coming from her body grew even stronger. Matt could hardly control his own breath. But only I knew what was happening. The temperature was too high. Once Aurora started to sweat, it would mix with the fragrance in the sunscreen and make the scent even stronger. However, it would also intensify the toxicity by manyfold.

Love's Inferno: When Fire Meets Ice

Love's Inferno: When Fire Meets Ice

THE SUN streamed through the window, casting a spotlight on Doris' desk, but she barely noticed. Her eyes were glazed over, her mind far away from the magazine at hand. She had been staring at the same page of the fashion magazine for what felt like an eternity, and her brain was starting to feel numb. The pictures and words on the page seemed to swim before her eyes, blurring into a sea of meaningless rubbish. Doris was in the throes of the most deadly foe an idle person can face: boredom.

The writing was good. Interesting twists in the story. However, I got irritated when Doris was being immature. Love how 8 years old Nora and 4 years old Max acted and spoke mature. Hated that the transition between events was not always smooth and the wrong gender was used often. Nice, happy ending.

SILVER PACT

SILVER PACT

“Stay focused. The bloom is not just aware of us. It’s aware of the others.” The horizon trembled, and waves of light surged from the spiral fracture, rippling outward like the wake of a cosmic storm. Each wave carried fragments of memory entire lifetimes compressed into glimmering motes that scattered across the land. Some settled in people’s minds, gifting insight. Others collided, causing confusion, fear, and occasional madness.

move them in your mind, not physically. He tried to concentrate so hard, but his mind wouldn’t let him. What with the disruption of his circadian rhythm! His thoughts always deviated to mundane things: of his escape from near death . . . and of Tessa. What if she didn’t come? Would I still be here? Would I see her again? Don’t shift to reality. Don’t be disturbed by other thoughts . . . Finally, after some unsuccessful attempts, he gave up and decided to move.

“Also, Barbie? Come on. The man thinks you’re pretty.” “He thinks I’m an annoying rookie.” “Please.” She rolled her eyes. “The grumpy ones are always the worst. They act like they hate you, then suddenly they’re completely obsessed.” [I know guys like him.] I opened my mouth to argue with her ridiculous logic, but I never got the chance. The small television screen mounted on the bulkhead in front of us suddenly flashed, cutting to a breaking news broadcast. The volume was barely a whisper, but the bold red text scrolling across the bottom of the screen grabbed both of our attention immediately.

The Rejected Little Wolf

The Rejected Little Wolf

“I have closed my mind. Now I know you all to try accessing my mind even though it is locked. It can be tricky since a simple mistake will cost you and might even damage your brain. Try breaking into it. Not with a lot of force, patiently and steadily. Imagine how I locked it. Try reversing what I did when locking it up. You can add your speed. Most times, locked minds can tend to look smaller thus you should kind of force it to enlarge, the more it becomes bigger, the more the lock and the door start to weaken. As it weakens, try pulling the lock, try unlocking it till you succeed.” “ If you are successful in also opening and closing your mind you can open your eyes,” Boston said but he did

Doctor, I'm Too Sensitive!

Doctor, I'm Too Sensitive!

The way to connect to the higher dimension is to organize the chaos in the brain, the neater it is, the easier it is to connect to the higher dimension. The process of organizing the brain fragments is like playing Tetris, but in Frost's parents' minds, they were playing two hell-level Tetris games, with so many shapes and such fast descent speed that one of them could endure for only three seconds, while the other could only last one second before losing. The mentor was naturally an extraordinary person who could tidy up the Tetris blocks in his brain and connect to the higher dimension at any time.

The Darkness

The Darkness

Oshey sounded interested. "You know something like eham yana dayus, or something like that," Chris said random words. Oshey just sat looking at her friends. The room started to spin slowly, then quicker. Her head started to throb just behind her right eye. "What did you say," but the words didn't seem to leave her mouth. The room seemed to ripple and distort. She felt her mind tearing apart slowly as a shadow moved across the room. The video screen in her mind flashed with images of her life. The waves of reality smothered her until finally, she stood up.
