OFFSIDE

OFFSIDE

"I have spent twenty years understanding how these things work. I have watched careers get built and careers get derailed and the difference between the two is almost always the management of perception." Distraction. He used it the first time here, folded into a sentence about perception management so smoothly that it would have been easy to let it pass without registering it as the load bearing word it was. "Any association that introduces complexity into that narrative," he continued, "any relationship that invites a kind of attention that is difficult to manage or redirect, becomes a distraction from the work Jaxon needs to be doing right now." Second time. I stood in the parking lot wit

The Lycan's cruel revenge

The Lycan's cruel revenge

Kevin smiled and led the way, he and Raina walked to the nearest coffee shop, when Kevin entered the café, he was greeted by the receptionist and the other workers as well, which made Raina ask, “It seems like all the workers here know you well, do you come here often?” Kevin smiled as he placed his order and then said, “Well, I work here, on the evening shift.” Raina nodded, seemingly impressed, she looked around and saw the café which was quite big and beautiful, she then smiled and said, “I see. It must be hard handling studies and work together, right?” “It’s all about time management, when I had started it was hell, and I was barely able to handle things, as a result, I was performing p

A Secretive Deal with My Billionaire Boss

A Secretive Deal with My Billionaire Boss

"I didn't want to bother them. They're still getting settled." He leaned back in his chair, studying me. "Madison, you're a project manager now. Delegation is part of the job." His lips curved into a slight smirk. "Besides, I can't have my girlfriend struggling with elevator rides up and down all day. It's inefficient." "Girlfriend only in private, remember?" I reminded him, keeping my voice low despite the closed door. "Of course. But the efficiency concern stands regardless of our arrangement." He gestured to the files in my arms. "Next time, send someone else. Your time is valuable."

The book was strong but about half way I started noticing repetitive sentences or even paragraphs with slight difference, in the same chapter. Im noticing major inconsistencies with the story line now that im at chapter 411 and see the story has been "ongoing" for over a year. almost ready to turff.

Whatever the reason for delaying the update, giving us only 4 episodes per 10,12 days isn't enough. Give us at least 7 or 8 episodes please!! It should be worth waiting for so long. I always have to re read previous episodes to remember what was happening in the story before starting new ones sadly

The Reclaimed Rose

The Reclaimed Rose

After our discussion, Mark went to report to Julian. Julian looked at Mark with a thoughtful expression. Mark found it a bit strange. "What's up, Mr. Hughes?" "You've improved a lot. You used to be very organized with work. But lately, your time management has become even sharper," Julian voiced honestly. He had a clear grasp of when to handle what, and he executed everything seamlessly. Mark grinned. "Maybe it's because there's just too much work now. I felt overwhelmed at first. I thought I couldn't handle anything properly. But I got used to it over time. And now, after arranging all the work, I feel as if I have free time."

SURROGATE FOR THE COLD BILLIONAIRE

SURROGATE FOR THE COLD BILLIONAIRE

"You don't half-do things." "Inefficient." "It's not about efficiency. It's about—" I search for it. "Presence. You're always fully in the thing you're doing." I pause. "It's rare." He's quiet for a moment. "You do it too," he says. "I'm managing most of the time. That's different." "No." He glances at me. "You're fully in the managing. Fully in the cooking. Fully in the listening." He looks back at the road. "You've never been half anywhere since I've known you."

"Because I'm beginning to think that time management isn't your only challenge, Miss Stone." "I was working on my schedule," I said lamely, gesturing to my color-coded charts. "I genuinely lost track of time." He studied me for a long moment, his fingers drumming silently against his closed laptop. "Tell me, Miss Stone," he said finally, "what exactly is so important about your schedule that it takes precedence over keeping your commitments?"

Hunters: The Prequel

Hunters: The Prequel

Mane knew this, but seeing evidence of it was very reassuring. “Stop dawdling and get to work!” a cold voice pulled Mane’s mind away from his current thoughts and back onto the situation at hand. “Concentrate. You have been making a mistake all this while by thinking that if you used True Eyes enough, you would eventually be able to get it to obey you; that it wouldn’t dare to seize the flow of time. But that is just wrong!”

I hope that’s not the end end. So many left off pieces of the story all his friends on the other world, all the other gods story lines, he’s only used his blood born weapons and armour twice. Hasn’t even made it out of dreamscape yet. Still have everything in true verse going on while he “asleep”

SEDUCING MY BESTFRIEND'S BROTHER

SEDUCING MY BESTFRIEND'S BROTHER

The espresso machine was a decision I had been postponing for three weeks because the right one was expensive and the almost-right ones were not right and Renee had pointed out, correctly, that I was using the espresso machine as a displacement activity for several other decisions I also wasn't making. "What's the opening date?" Marcus asked. "February first. If everything goes according to plan." "Does it usually?" "The plan, no. The opening, yes." I wrapped my hands around my mug. "I've learned to treat the plan as a general direction rather than a specific itinerary." "That's a very diplomatic relationship with chaos." "I prefer to call it adaptive management." He smiled — the real one, b

I complained. "Fake it like your rent is on it. Because it is." I scribbled it out hurriedly, emphasizing tone = control three times. My writing was starting to go, but Liam didn't seem to notice. He was already on to the next advice. "Calendar management," he described. "Picture like Tetris, but with landmines." "Stimulating," I said sourly. He talked over me. "You don't schedule meetings—you protect the calendar. No back-to-backs unless they absolutely have to occur. Pad travel time always. Always double-check timezone differences. And never, ever commit to anything without discovering how much it's going to cost you later on."

The Billionaire Romantic getaway

He didn’t bat an eye. Neither did she. “Those people are doing it wrong.” He raised an eyebrow. “You don’t say.” He shifted and undid the button on his suit jacket. “Why do you say that?” “The trick is not to do two things simultaneously,” Mandy said, her mind imagining what she wanted to explain to him. “It is to do one while waiting for the other. For instance, if my computer is doing updates, I can be answering the phone, or organizing my materials to suit my schedule that day. For this to work, you need to switch all of your focus completely from one task to the other immediately.”
