Alpha's Heir
The breeze washed over my body but I did not feel a thing, didn’t shiver or tremble, instead, I was numb, insensate, distorted from the world’s disturbances.
But that wasn’t true, was it? I was disturbed, broken in fact- a conundrum built by tragedy and pain. And it intensified when the belt buckle crinkled, ringing bells that was shrill AND soul-crushing.
I guess I should change the conception about myself- Orson Liliana, an unfortunate prey whose bones were crushed under the teeth of its predators.
And the predators? They loomed over me like a dark cloud, after unleashing A storm that flooded my world with me in it.
