Silvery tendrils of smoke swirled into the room, weaving in response to her invocation. They laid atop her mark of divinity on her chest, and seconds later, the bulging veins around her reddening mark began to ease.

Mira said, smiling when she saw the tiny reaction on the Monarch's face. Everyone knew that the Arctic Temple was tainted with malicious energy, and what happened to Mira years before, her dark manifestation made the malicious energy stronger. It didn't take a genius to figure out how a demon wolf like her could affect the malicious energy around her. Her life was and would always be surrounded by dark desires, so dark that nothing could compare to it.
