Mirajane Strauss Novels & Stories

"These straws decide life and death. The short straw represents the younger son. The long straw represents the older son. If one breaks, it means that soul has been destroyed." Now the long straw that represented me had broken. Amanda quickly picked it up. Her hands were shaking. She looked helplessly at Carla and Mick. "If the straw broke, does that mean Harry's soul..." "That's impossible!" Carla immediately cut her off. Even though fear filled her heart, she desperately tried to comfort herself. "Everything has been fine for all these years. How could something suddenly..." She took a deep breath. But she couldn't finish the sentence. Standing at the doorway, Simon had seen everything. Hi

Mira was at the table with The Account open in front of her, which I suspected was deliberate staging, the document that most completely represented what she had to offer was made visible at the beginning rather than revealed over time. She looked up when we came in. Dr Osei stopped in the doorway. Not from hesitation. From the particular response that meeting Mira for the first time produced in people who understood what four hundred years meant. The full presence of someone who had been alive that long was not subtle even to people who could not feel the web or the channel. It was simply there. Mira looked at Dr Osei with the silver eyes. “Sit down,” she said. “You have read my methodology

After a long silence, his expression changed like he had finally recognized something he’d been struggling to place. “This isn’t an ordinary injury,” he said quietly. “What she’s showing… It's known as the Astral Eye. It’s linked to prophecy, but on a far higher level. I’ve only ever read about it in ancient records. It’s so rare that even among witches and wizards, you’d barely find someone this young with such a gift.” Mira frowned. “Then Eira’s infection… It must’ve been caused by this ability constantly draining her power. No wonder the doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong.”

but before she could respond, a hand lifted calmly. Mira. “Professor,” Mira said gently, standing. “May I answer the question?” The professor smiled, pleased. “By all means. Finally, someone who values my lectures.” Scarlet’s fingers curled into fists under the desk. Mira straightened, confidence radiating from her like a slap. “Magical substances like enchanted crystals and refined stones can neutralize the effects of wolfbane when bonded properly to the bloodstream.” The professor clapped once. Then again. “Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Well done, Mira.”

wrongness. "There," she whispered. "It's not on the beach. The true Darius—he's not even fighting." The realization hit them simultaneously. While everyone fought the duplicates, the real threat was elsewhere, drawing power from their distraction. Miranda began gathering specific artifacts—a crystal that seemed to pulse with moonlight, a dagger with runes etched along its blade, a small vial of what looked like liquid darkness. "We'll need these," she said. "Weapons that exist between states, just like a Mystic."

MIRA'S POV:- "The powers she just used were exactly like the powers Fredrick possessed. And Mira was gifted her powers by the late Mr and Mrs MacCarthy. And everyone in this courtroom knows that Fredrick's powers were nothing like his parents. He was different. He was a hybrid. And the main reason why I am called in this courtroom. Mrs Mira MacCarthy, that is what I would call her after knowing the fact that she is pregnant with Mr Fredrick MacCarthy's child." I gasped loudly as I heard what that old man said in the end. My eyes moistened up as I covered my mouth with my palm.

She smiled softly, maintaining eyes contact with me. “I am sorry I lied” the board mumbled words to each other. “I didn’t introduce myself properly”. She took a break. And swiped to the next slide. It was a picture of Mira mixed up with her picture. At this moment, my mind played fast. I never noticed that she shared a slight resemblance with Mira till I saw the picture on the screen. “What if she is Mira?” It flashed through like lightning. “I am Mira Greg. The daughter of the founder, Abj ventures. The wife of Gerald Lead”. She looked at me proudly.

I couldn't sense anyone there. I waited for him to stand up and mock me like he used to, yet nothing. I was horrified; there was no way I could have killed him with my wolf power. Sebastian was a strong wolf with a special healing ability. If I had attacked him with my wolf power, he should be healing by now. "What did I just do?" I groaned in frustration, trying to remember, but nothing came to mind. My name is Mira Constance, a twenty-year-old wolf, and today is my coronation day. Mother suggested I spar with Sebastian every day so that I could have full control of my powers.

Mirra Mirra didn’t need the third vision to understand the pattern. But it came anyway. The false Ronan dissolved, and the earth beneath Mirra’s feet turned luminous—too bright, too green, too alive. A version of herself rose from the soil like she had been carved out of stone and covered in vines. The false Mirra’s gaze was flat. Unmoving. It didn’t blink. Behind it, the world was orderly. Perfectly arranged. No wild overgrowth. No shifting tides. No unpredictable moon phases. Everything held still.

She didn't know if it was an illusion played by the warlock, but she vaguely saw Azarias's figure. At that moment, the crystals exploded. Mira's vision turned black as Azarias's desperate expression was the last thing that occupied her sight. He was mouthing Mira's familiar nickname, there seemed to be tears in his eyes...
