“You seek more than vengeance,” the witch croaked. “You seek to be two. To walk unseen. To be shadow and light both.”
Nyx did not waste words. “I need a mirror of myself. A body that carries my face, my scent, my voice. A shield and a weapon both. And I need cloaking spells so that no witch, no wolf, no Alpha can track me.”
The witch’s smile was a cracked thing. “You ask for a dangerous craft. To birth a mirror of yourself is to bleed the soul in half. Do you understand the cost?”
