I spun just as a hooded figure stepped out from behind a tree, raising a hand glowing with dark purple light. A witch. No—a bound witch, marked with the Crimson Fang symbol burned into their wrist. They were using magic now. My wolf snarled, hackles rising. The witch thrust their hand toward me, unleashing a blast of energy. I dodged, barely, the force cracking the earth beside me. I shifted back to human in a single leap, landing barefoot on the cold ground. “You dare bring magic into my territory?” I spat. The witch smiled faintly. “Alpha Selene. You’re exactly as frightening as the rumors say.”

In the center of the town square, strange creatures were attacking the remaining fighters. There were only a few of them, maybe five or six. But their appearance was unnatural. Their skin was gray and cracked. Their eyes glowed red. Their bodies moved in twisted ways, but their strength was terrifying. Witch warriors stood in a circle, chanting spells and sending waves of energy toward the creatures. But the magic barely slowed them down. One creature grabbed a witch by the neck and threw her across the square as if she weighed nothing. Aria felt a chill run through her. If only a few creatures could do this, what would happen when more came through the rift?

I didn’t try to get the scene behind my eyes like I usually try to, I let it play again this time, relieving when the kiss happened, sleep welcomed me without me knowing. I saw a wolf, a huge black wolf. I looked around trying to figure out where I was but all I could see was a maze of trees, my heart thundered. The wolf standing a few feet away from me it didn't look like it was a normal wolf, it was more compared to the a wolf. It had black furs and long sharp pointed canine that looked sharp enough to rip iron apart. It stared at me like a predator stalking its prey, waiting for the perfect moment to lunge.

The chain behind me extending to allow the motion. The woman floated towards me and stopped a few inches from me. I recognized her as a sorcerous not by her appearance, but rather her ora. She was dressed all in black with a cape covering most of her face. All I could see were her eyes, which were glowing green. "What is your name, witch?" She asked me. I refused to answer. I only glared at her. She came closer and grabbed me by my hair, forcing my eyes to hers she peered into them as if she were looking directly into my soul. She released me. "I see." She said. "Tell me Mandalynn are you with child?"

That's right. I bought this top-tier, brawny werewolf to scrub my cauldron and do my chores. The inspiration came from a fellow witch I met at the wizarding market. She was bragging about her new half-orc slave, claiming he could lick the floors so clean you could see your reflection in them and even served as her personal foot warmer in the winter. While the other witches burst out laughing and treated it as a joke, I was the only one who zeroed in on two key words: labor and warmth.

I smirked when Ares picks up speed and as soon as his paws near the crumbled earth, he stops, sending me flying in the air. Ayla peeks out, my nails come out and my canines extend as I growl. I land on the earth on my fours, my hair whipping back as I glared at Mericel and the cowering witches. I was not fully wolf but surely they could see my wolf’s eyes. "Please." One begged as she backs away. Her blonde hair was beautiful, cascading down her back. I worked a quick spell and the blonde witch screams in pain. Her long nails claw at her face as the once beautiful skin begins to melt. Seeing this, the rest of the witches disappear, no doubt teleporting somewhere else.

This book is not a typical werewolf romance book. There will be romance but I won't go deep into it. I write this book with a new idea. I wanted to combine the werewolves, the witches and the spiritual realm together, and I can't achieve this with your help. A male witch came racing into the room, magic buzzing around him. With a growl, Joel leapt off the table and tackled him to the ground. The next one to come in, Gail hit by the latch of the leash. The witch gasped, holding his now bleeding cheek and eyes wide. Gail swung the leash over her head, muttering the incantation, and hit the witch again, knocking him out. A third witch came racing in, followed by a fourth. Joel took one and Gail grabbed her bat, swinging it at the other one. She missed, and the witch hit her with a ball of energy.

They lay, whimpering, on the cold, damp ground, their crimson colored eyes rolled back in their sockets and froth foaming from their mouths. Merlin flicked her wrists and from out of nowhere, a low wind, whistled through the trees, moving closer to the flame-haired witch. Gathering momentum, the whistling rose steadily in pitch, as the gale came shrieking through the woods before surrounding Merlin. Her hair and clothes whipped around her and her eyes glowed green as her magical aura, grew and pulsated around her. Another flick of her wrists and the bodies of the injured werewolves were whisked away deep into the woods.
