My Only Love
I had missed this so much, the comfort, the friendship, the connection.
We part ways with warm smiles, and I check the time, realizing I’ve spent almost two hours talking with Mike. Time had flown by, and now I had to rush to work. I knew the hotel manager would be waiting for me at the entrance, probably with his arms crossed and an impatient look on his face. He’s always like that.
I didn’t even have a watch or a phone anymore, which made everything worse. I really needed to get a new phone. Living like this, disconnected, unaware of time, was starting to affect everything in my life.
