Bennett glanced around, his eyes lingering on the door as if he expected someone else to barge in any minute. “Alright, everyone,” Ms. Anderson began, a brittle smile plastered across her face. “Mr. Bennett has something important to say.” A murmur of excitement ran through the room as everyone turned to listen. I stood off to the side, trying—and failing—not to draw attention to myself. The memory of the coffee incident still burned hot and fresh in my mind. “First,” Mr. Bennett started, his voice smooth and confident, “I want to thank you all for your hard work and dedication. I’ve been following your progress, and I must say, it’s been impressive.”

“Argh! You are a hopeless case!” I was about to enter the pantry when I heard Mr. Huntington’s lowly deep chuckle. “Don’t forget to bring me some hot coffee, Ms. Merrywheather. And remember to call me on that suggested name you have.” I closed the door. Then I clenched my hands. I acted like Mr. Huntington is in front of me then punched my fists in the air. I had never been so annoyed with a guy! I never knew that Mr. Huntington has this kind of attitude! I thought he was just eerie, intimidating, and scary... but he was very irritating to even talk with.

" Annabelle, we have to leave . This place stinks! " " Take your filthy money with you ," Mike said from the ground. For a few seconds, Jenny and Annabelle looked around in search of the voice. " You heard that , didn't you? " Jenny asked Annabelle. " Yes, I did," Annabelle replied. " But who said that?"

"Sit down." Hannah's voice wasn't loud, but it caused Mike to freeze instantly. He went rigid for two seconds before slowly sinking back into the cushions. I opened my laptop, pulled up the screenshots and text logs, and turned the screen toward Hannah. "I've saved every message Mr. Bennett sent me and all the rumors he spread in those group chats during this time."

Emma saw the surprise on every face and instantly knew what they were thinking. "Well, she's still a worker here." Mr. Rowland said and it was Emma's turn to look surprised. "But she will be helping me personally." "I don't understand." Madam said. 'Me neither,' Emma glared at Rowland. "Like an assistant," Mr. Rowland added. "Ah! You mean like Gretchen," Madam replied.
