“That’s my daughter. Don’t clean her away. Otherwise, she won’t be able to find her way back!”
Even though the room reeked horribly, Mom breathed it in as if it were a fragrance.
“This is my daughter’s scent. Don’t you dare erase it!
“And as for you filthy rats, I’m going to settle this with you. How dare you bully my daughter!”
With a vicious look, Mom began grabbing the rats with her bare hands. She lunged at them like a starving wolf, as if facing a mortal enemy. Soon, the rats were all gone.
