I whispered as the sun began to peek over the FUTO horizon, painting the campus in shades of rose and gold. He looked at me, and for the first time in fifty-five chapters, the shadows were gone from his eyes. He leaned in, kissing me with a softness that made the world stand still. It wasn't a kiss of desperation; it was a kiss of peace. "It's over, Elara," he whispered against my lips. "The Monster is dead. Only the man is left."

Not far from Omar, Maya drew her Phoenix Sword and looked at him. "I'm fine!" Omar stood and once again rushed at the monster. At that time, the surging purple mist around them sank and disappeared in a flash, and everyone stood there dumbfounded. Seeing that scene, Omar had a faint hunch that someone manipulated the purple fog. Unfortunately, Omar did not have the time to think about that problem, as the wolf-looking monster once again pounced at them.

Mister suddenly realized that she had secretly been distracting him while sending out a beacon of bright green light over their location, and leading everyone else straight to them. "You bitch! I should have known that you wouldn't come alone!" He shouted as he shifted and lunged for her at the same time. Lucky for the queen, she saw it coming in enough time to get out of the way. Mister landed hard on all fours just inside of the open doorway. He gasped really hard when he knocked the wind out of himself by brutally slamming his ribs against the corner of a table that was sitting just inside the shed entrance to the left of where he stopped.

A bright full moon emerged on a silent night. There was no star in the sky, but the luminous glow of the mystic moon gave it an enchanting beauty. In the depths of a thick forest in a suburb, the air was so quiet that it even felt weird. The wind blew heavily, and someone was screaming horribly. An ugly and ferocious man pressed Kendra Miller on the ground and tried to tear her clothes apart rudely. He scratched Kendra’s body urgently and laughed dissolutely.

I snapped. “Your face gives it away.” I rolled my eyes. “Great. So I look miserable.” “Yes,” he replied bluntly. “You do.” I glared at him, but he didn’t apologize. Of course not. When the elevator doors opened, I stood frozen in place. The space was nothing short of stunning. Floor-to-ceiling windows offered a panoramic view that looked straight out of a film. The aesthetic featured clean lines, pristine white marble, dark furniture everything was sleek, expensive, and utterly out of reach.

“I didn’t get the chance to thank you.” Her breath shook. “Thank me? You kissed me without my permission,” she whispered. “You scared me. And now—now you’re here? Why? What do you want from me?” The corner of his mouth tilted, almost amused. “So you know who I am.” “You’re Adriano Greco,” she said, her voice trembling. “The monster people talk about.” He took another step closer. “Monster?” he repeated softly. “That’s what they call me?”
