He nodded. I sat down and for the first time I couldn’t help but study his house. He was right. I’d never been here. His home was simple, with green curtains that matched his sofa, a small tennis table at the far end of the room which suited his bachelor lifestyle, some magazines of naked women on the stool-like table in the middle of the room. This was the real Monty, his essence, not just a radon member for my pack who barely had a brain cell to him.
