"You calmed something I've never been able to control. And when we were together, something happened that I didn't intend."

“Take them to the well!” I grab the twins, sprinting as the guardian’s wrath shakes the earth. Behind us, Ryland grapples with the shadows, his snarls mingling with the twins’ cries. Selene digs her nails into my shoulder. “Left, Mommy! The moon lady says *left*!” We skid around the monolith, the Moonwell’s glow washing over us. Selene leaps from my arms and plunges her hands into the water. “Drink!” “Silas first.” I cup the glowing liquid, tilting it to his lips.

She didn’t know about that. “She…” Her mother’s breath hitched, “she tied him to the moon. Just him though. He won’t be able to roam the earth as a human for two weeks straight. He would be trapped in his wolf form, with no hold on his humanity, for every first two weeks of the month” A breath of relief left Shirley in a rush. Relief that at least he was not without his suffering. Werewolves took pride in their strength as wolves. Not being able to access and control that form when they wanted had to be a nightmare, innit?

Amara's POV The moon, a heavy, swollen orb of molten gold, hung in the ink-black sky, radiating an almost sentient glow. It felt less like a celestial body and more like a silent, all-knowing presence, aware of the profound, sacred event that was about to unfold. Its luminescence streamed through the large window of the guest chamber, painting the familiar room in hues of silver and shadow.

Narrator's pov Full Moon The moon hung high, casting a silvery light over the quiet landscape. The air was thick with the pull of the lunar cycle, a force so powerful that the earth seemed to pulse beneath it. Arianna stood at the window of her room, her fingers firmly brushing the cool glass. Drawn to the moon since childhood, she felt its silent dance across the night sky beckoning to her. The howl of wolves echoed through the valley below, sending a shiver down her spine. The sound was all too familiar, but tonight, it felt sharper, more intense.

Anastasia explained. "Such as?" "Like in January, it's the Ice Moon. In February, it's the Storm Moon. In March, it's the Wind Moon. In April, it's the Wild Moon. In May, it's the Fire Moon.
