The Moon Festival arrived like a held breath finally released. From the moment the sun dipped below the horizon, Moonshine College transformed. Strings of silver lights were draped between ancient oak trees, glowing softly like captured starlight. Lanterns shaped like crescent moons floated gently above the open grounds, swaying with the breeze. Music drifted through the air, mixing with laughter, excitement, and the hum of supernatural energy that always accompanied a full moon. Everyone was happy and excited except Lily. She stood in front of the full-length mirror in her dorm room, staring at her reflection without truly seeing it.

Dorian froze mid-motion, wiping grease from his hands. “Mira?” he repeated softly. “She died three Winter Solstices ago.” “You’re lying.” Rowan’s face twisted, disbelief flickering into anger. “I can smell her scent in that room.” “I’m not lying.” Dorian pointed toward the alley beyond the tavern. “three Winter Solstices ago, the family from that malpractice case cornered her there—under the blood moon. Cilyna's mother began. The full moon's silvery glow shines down as a spot light on a pure white wolf with golden eyes that glowed with the magic of the moon goddess. She leaned down to get a drink from the cold steam and suddenly noticed a pair of eyes standing behind her in the reflection from the water. The white wolf eases closer and she slowly turns to face this beautiful creature hoping for the best. The golden eyes piercing glare lasted only a moment before the wolf started growling. The girl resembed the moon goddess that cursed her and the girl's face sent the beast into a frenzy.

she asked. “Oh, because tomorrow is the start of the Full Moon! The Blue Moon will turn into a Green Moon. So the festival is called Green Moon Festival! And the next day is the Orange Moon Festival. It’s the Red Moon that turns into an Orange Moon. It only happens once a year so we celebrate it.” Willow also explained, while showing Giga a hologram of a moon. Giga’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “Ah, it will be so much fun!” Damona said.

Back in the days where I can still see his eyes. Dad and mom was conversing in a funny topic. I couldn't stop laughing. But I stop laughing when I saw something outside the restaurant. Just as I was about to walk off this uncomfortable scene, I felt a burn on my skin. The moonlight had escaped the drapes of the clouds finally and it was lighting up the terrace with its own enigma. But why burn? Isn't the moon an epitome of cool and calm? I shrieked when I realised the burn that was flaming on my skin was actually, under my skin. With a clatter, the champagne glasses on the tray shattered on the floor. Luckily, the sound of music drowned it out but didn't stop the fact it poured all down the back of someone.

Luna, in turn, regaled them with cosmic anecdotes, weaving a tapestry of celestial wonders that captivated the Blackmoon audience. As the night deepened, the moon cast its silvery glow over the Blackmoon landscape. She could feel the energy of the Fallen Moon stirring inside her again. “Good,” Mira said. “Now reach for the light of the other moons.” Luna hesitated. “I thought I could only use the Fallen Moon.” “Normally, yes,” Mira replied. “But the Moonbearer is different.” Luna slowly lifted her hands. Silver light formed between her fingers. The glow brightened.

Amara's POV The moon, a heavy, swollen orb of molten gold, hung in the ink-black sky, radiating an almost sentient glow. It felt less like a celestial body and more like a silent, all-knowing presence, aware of the profound, sacred event that was about to unfold. Its luminescence streamed through the large window of the guest chamber, painting the familiar room in hues of silver and shadow.
