Marie’s POV After being knocked unconscious by Jason and the damn silver whip, I found myself beside a lake. This place looked like something off a postcard. I remembered Angel telling me about her visit to the moon goddess and speaking of the beautiful water surrounding the bright green grass. As I turned around sure enough there she was. Evans quickly shifted away from her and then deleted the search. He locked the phone then handed it back to her. "Thank you." Soon, the lecturer closed his notes as time ran out then left. The students started packing their things. Evans remained seated for a while but Jasmine came to his front, her eyes gleaming with anticipation.

"She has declared that you can only collect the Moon Orb after you have appointed a Luna Queen. You must also consummate the mating night as well in order to receive the sacred instrument." My entire brain short-circuited for a moment, but then a low growl rumbled from my throat. "You're joking." The old woman held my gaze without the slightest hint of amusement. The calmness in her silver eyes told me everything I needed to know long before she spoke again. "Unfortunately, Your Majesty," she said, folding her weathered hands over the carved head of her cane, "I am not joking." Silence settled heavily between us.

I asked the man, assuming he was the leader of the small pack. “Killian.” He spoke quickly. “It is a pleasure to meet you, Killian. I am…” I started but was cut off by his abrupt interruption. “I know who you are. You are Kyra, the Luna of Night Blaze, and the future Moon Goddess.” Killian spoke.
