One morning as Mj, Mathew, and his sister Billie were dragging six dead moonwalkers toward the tree line, Mj was met with the almost enthusiastic face of Ace and Moxie. Mj dropped the stinking mutilated bodies of the deceased moonwalkers and approached the excited hunters, “what's got you in a good mood?” she asked Ace and the Commander only grinned, “Alpha says it’s go time,” he said with an excited growl as Moxie nodded like an eager child, “yea he says we can head out as soon as you are relieved,” he chirped and Mj smiled as the normalcy to Moxie’s demeanor seemed to have returned from their time in the swamp.

I kept reading the next few lines, it did not have much information just how moon could affect the wolves as well but it was not clear how. *The blood moon does not leave the victims and always leaves a scar on the soul of survivors.* I did not understand the meaning of this line but something stirred uneasiness in my heart as I read it, it could not be good. Victims? How could moon pick its victim? The story of the pack once again came to my head, what if they were also victims? But according to the book there could be survivors, did it mean someone survived from the pack? If they did where were they?
