The council's eyes widened. Betrayal. One member snarled, "Morgana, explain!" Morgana's mask slipped. "The pack needs—" "She wants revenge," I spat. "And she used Damon to get it." The room erupted as different thoughts ran through. It was thoughts of treason, manipulation and guilt. I stood over Morgana, my voice ice. "You're done." The council closed in. Judgment. She still looked composed despite everything. Her hair was immaculate, her chin was lifted in defiance and her lips were curved in that infuriating half-smile she always wore when she thought she was untouchable.

The Council sentenced her to death, but she disappeared before the execution could be carried out.”

Vera's POV Morgana stood from her throne with inhuman grace, moving like liquid shadow as she descended the steps toward us. Her presence filled the chamber, ancient power radiating from her in waves that made my wolf want to submit and flee. "You're wondering how I knew," she said, her smile never wavering.
