Mom looked at me once she was done with her makeup, "You would have known if you wouldn't be keeping yourself locked in your room." She walked to me, placed her hand on my shoulder blade, "Anyways, don't worry. Everything is done already including your bridal gown and jewellery. They will be delivered by tomorrow." "You even ordered my wedding dress without bothering to ask my choice?" I quizzed in disbelief. What kind of people are they? They were preparing for a wedding without involving the bride herself as if I held no importance for them. "I know your favorites. I'm your mother." She nonchalatantly argued.

It looked more like a circus than a wedding. Inside, the chaos was even more intense. Staff scurried around the entryway, trying to follow the endless orders from my stepmother, who stood in the middle of it all, hands on her hips like a general. Pastor Bernie was wearing a custom-made navy blue suit with a burnt orange tie. Then the resort's stylist team went to the May family villa. They smiled at David and said, “Sir, we have been sent by our manager to help you with the make-up.” David smiled broadly and replied, “Please thank your manager for me.” The stylist team applied make-up to the groom and his groomsmen. Others were applying make-up to the ladies.

She immediately turn to begin barking orders at the hair and make-up people and maids to bring drinks. “Yes, surely MY wedding day is all about you, and everyone else,” I say, matter of fact. It takes me a bit, but I manage to get on the dress. Carrisa snorts and holds up two different pairs of shoes. I point at the ones I like.

I asked. Paige nodded excitedly making me laugh. We walked into the salon and were immediately met with all the stylists. Since my mom is my maid of honor, she wanted a low updo while the others went with a higher updo. I decided to keep my hair down in beautiful curls with two side braids wrapped to the back with a loose curl on each side of my face. Paige wanted a similar look but She didn’t have the curls on the sides. Once our hair was done, we moved onto makeup. We all went with natural makeup and Paige just had lipgloss.
