Going Rogue
“But you don’t smell like a rogue…?”
“No, but you do.” He tilts his head to the side as he examines me, and I take a closer look at him for the first time. I already noticed his height, but this time I look at his curly black hair, and his warm ochre skin. His teeth are so white against his skin that they almost appear to glow, and his eyes are a unique shade of greenish-grey with a slight hint of golden flecks that also stands out against his darker skin.
“Your rogue sent isn’t too strong,” he continues, “I’m guessing you’ve been on your own for about 3-4 weeks now.” A satisfied smirk crosses his lips as my mouth drops open surprised by how accurate his timeline is.
