Hearing Scarlett's voice, Xavier immediately turned his gaze and quickly closed the book he was reading. "You were asked to organize these history books, not to read them one by one," Scarlett said, crossing her arms in front of her chest. Xavier blushed and smiled in embarrassment, then he placed the history books about werewolf clans, especially the Celestria clan, back into the box that had been provided.

My chest tightened. He raised one hand slowly, his palm side up. Like he was reaching for something. “Xavier?” My voice cracked. His eyes locked onto mine. He could see me. I don’t know how, but I knew could see me.
