I couldn't even smell her scent so I couldn't follow her. That night I couldn't get her off my mind, sleep was not an option. I need to find out who she is and why I am having a hard time detecting what she is. My wolf said she is a werewolf but I can't smell her wolf on her at all. Shadow thinks that she has no clue what she is. He also thinks that she was never part of a pack as we can't detect any pack scent on her either. Witch I guess would have made scents on why she has no wolf yet if she has never been around our kind she would develop at a much slower pace than the rest of us.

He was looking at a screen, his finger hovering over the "Delete" key. He looked like me. He looked like Rowan. He looked like the Developer. He was the **Reader**. "Stop," I whispered, reaching out a hand made of static. "Don't delete us. We're real."

The poor thing let out heart-wrenching howls, until she cut out his tongue. Blinded by pain, Shadow bit her in desperation. That only enraged her more. She rammed a silver dagger into his belly. Sliced off his ears. Gouged out his eyes. In the final moments, Shadow curled up against my old cloak… and slowly stopped breathing. Tears blurred my vision. My body shook with rage and heartbreak. "Xina… you're a damn monster. You've already taken everything. Why did you have to kill Shadow too?!" I couldn't hold it in anymore—I lunged and bit her hand, hard.

My smile dropped at the woman who stood frozen with her eyes wide in shock, she was staring at nothing in particular with a mixture of sadness, fear, confusion but most prominently anger in her grey eyes. Her expression caused everyone’s smiles to drop; I took a step closer to her and placed my hands on her shoulders. I looked into her wide eyes and felt Shadow stir restlessly. ‘What is the Shadow? Shadow’s agitation was affecting me. ‘Mate!’ I was taken aback by her reaction; ‘Shadow, this is Tatiana not D-’ I cut myself off and swung around to look at Devin. I looked into his confused eyes and was met with grey eyes strikingly identical to those I stared into just seconds ago.

So, I just squint my eyes and check who he is. It's him. He has brought some pillows together with him and he just puts it in the couch and lies over there. Seriously, what's going on with him? He lies down on the couch and I see him turning on the light on the book and reading something. Wait! Xavier reads? Like really? This truth is so much more than I could handle. I have never ever imagined that Xavier reads the books.
