Despite the strangeness of the situation, Melia found herself finding his astonishment rather amusing. "Vampire..." he murmured, his gaze shifting towards Melia. I almost wasn't able to stop myself but I knew I had to for her own sake. Vampires can see other people's emotions but they cannot feel them. We are naturally emotionless creatures that don't feel things. That's why vampires are one of the most dangerous creatures you could meet because they're completely merciless. The only emotion they're able to feel is lust. I have a few that I can feel specifically because I'm cursed to be the protector but others couldn't. For example the hurt I was able to feel when Maya assumed I was the one who injured her. I was her protector and she should've known that I would never hurt her in any way.
