Though she hadn't been gifted to us by the Moon Goddess, as far as he was concerned she might as well have been. He scanned over all the items she had on shelves and in glass cases, and I could feel the pride he held for his mate as he admired her collection of occult artifacts. I knew he was looking for the object that was emitting the incredibly dark energy that had forced him to come forward, but he stopped as a golden chalice caught his eye. It was weird watching him look through my eyes, but I noticed that it wasn't just the chalice that had caught his eye, but rather a whole collection of items that were encased in glass.

Then ordered. “Cut them.” I gave him a pleading look. “Cut them!” He barked in uncharacteristic roughness. Sounding more like Hawk. Something is wrong. “Now!” He roared. His gaze locked on me. Nothing like the laughing Magus I know. I blinked at Magus in shock and swung my light sword toward the stake but as always it flickered as it reached the wood and sputtered out. Blooming back to life on the other side of the stake.
