My Mafia Mate

My Mafia Mate

I asked Robert. “Yeah, no problem. We going out for Chinese,” he asked. “Yes, you and me,” I said, falling back into the chair. I picked up my phone again. “Yeah,” Mickey said. “Italian sounds real bad tonight. In fact I’ll be sick if I have to eat it, I think I was poisoned once. Chinese should be okay,” I said, and hung up. A few minutes later Robert and I were en route to a warehouse where I used to meet Bohai and discuss business before the whole house arrest fiasco.

The Murder Pal

The Murder Pal

At that moment, a young teacher hesitantly spoke up. "I remember Liam was wearing that blue hoodie this afternoon." She retrieved her phone, scrolled through it, and handed it over. "We took a group photo earlier. Look." Esther took the phone. In the photo, Liam stood in the front row. He was smiling at the camera. He was wearing that exact blue hoodie. There was a gold necklace around his neck.. It was the one she had put on him herself when he was born. He had never taken it off. Esther stared at the photo as if her soul had been ripped out.

He looks confident and ready as he stands waiting for his beast, but I know Xiu is feeling the same anxiety I was feeling for Nole not even two minutes ago. When Modok's beast runs out onto the field and roars loudly Xiu jumps in fear for her champion and my instincts immediately kick in. I grab her slender hand and squeeze to reassure her. She doesn't look away from the field but her hand squeezes mine right back. When I look back out at Modok I smile. He has his blade in front of his face and is squatting down in a ready position as the savage looked fanged deer rushes toward him without a single fear in its dumb head. It lunges at Modok chest first and he just stabs the beast right in the

Mr. Mafia's Obsession

Mr. Mafia's Obsession

She muttered, her voice barely above a whisper. He nodded, turning to the chef. “You heard her, didn’t you?” He asked and the maid nodded, heading back to the open kitchen. Chiara’s gaze flicked to the other man sitting across from Dante. He had black hair, light olive skin and a small black moustache under his nose. He was the only person she knew nothing about. The man, seeming to notice her curious stare, looked up and flashed her a slight grin. “I’m Nico, Dante’s best friend.”

Sips of Seduction: The Billionaire Heiress

Sips of Seduction: The Billionaire Heiress

“It’s not a date. It’s… charity.” She gasped. “Charity?!” “Community service, maybe.” “Oh, you’re lucky we’re out of muffins, Reyes, or I’d throw one at your head.” They ended up at a hole-in-the-wall noodle shop a few blocks away, squeezed into a tiny booth with squeaky seats and peeling paint. The air smelled like broth and garlic, and it was warm in a way the café never was. Celine twirled noodles around her chopsticks, eyeing him. “So, do you always lure women with cheap food?”

Escaping the Mafia Lord

Escaping the Mafia Lord

Georgina climbed into the cab, taking a seat alongside Emma. Lorenzo leaned down slightly, speaking to Emma with a playful tone. "How about you make us some of that minestrone soup?" he suggested. Emma gave him a funny look, clearly amused by his request. "Been a while, huh?" she replied, hinting at their shared memories of enjoying her cooking skills. Georgina could see the smile on Lorenzo's face, and it brought her a sense of joy to her. Lorenzo closed the cab door, and Georgina heard the familiar sound of his hand tapping the roof twice, signaling to the driver to start moving.

Contract for Lust

Contract for Lust

Sitting down on one of the seats, I dug my fork into the noodles and began to eat. I took out my phone and scrolled through pictures of other hits whom I'm to kill. The soft noodles slipped through my lips and rested on my tongue while I chew them down my throat. I had another prey that lives in the next street. I'll just handle him tonight. I say enjoying the meal. I drank from the milkshake and washed my mouth with it. I heaved a sigh of relief as I was satisfied. My eyes monitored the stairs at a distance, I was expecting Alex to walk down from them.

Wrong Ride, Right Lover

Seeing such a Henry, Monique, who was full of confidence just now, suddenly felt depressed. Her heart skipped a beat. She tried hard to raise the corner of her mouth and greeted him with a smile. "Dear, you haven't had lunch yet. I cooked a bowl of noodles for you." Monique winked at Mandy and then continued, "Today's noodles are very delicious. I put a lot of dishes, including fresh shrimps, meat balls, and two eggs. They smell very good." Mandy looked at Monique worriedly, but still gritted her teeth and closed the door.

Fragile Heart
Nice story, relate to the hardship and sufferings of Monique and her daughters. But some words like he for him interchange to she or her. Repeated lines like describing how the family of Gu, their status, that is why some chapters were alike. So avoid this one. Keep it up, hoping for more chapters!!
Elizabeth Doyle
Why are you so confused with your characters. I have read this book and the more I read it, I don't know if you are referring to him, her, Monique, Henry, Manager Hans, or someone else, whoever translated this for you, is not doing a good job. The book is really good, I have to figure out.

At Arm's length

At Arm's length

I couldn't go, I was angry, but I was actually running away from the memories, I really wanted my mum back. "Sewa time to eat" Kene said, coming in with a tray. The pair of joggers he was wearing was riding low on his waist and his bareless chest revealed his muscle toned chest. "I'm not hungry" I whispered, looking away. "But you have too" he replied, dropping the tray close to me. I immediately looked down to see what he prepared. Oh my goodness, he cooked a funny kind of noodles. It was the kind of Noodles mum called drowning in the pool.

This book was a page turner from start to finish, I couldn't put it down once I started. Full of humour and wit, and some of the most ridiculously funny characters I have ever had the pleasure of reading about. This book is worth five stars and more. Kudos to the writer?
Illustrious Joy
An inciting read with spurs of savory romance, humour and subtle wit. I so much love the bond between Adesewa and Kenechukwu. The writer's pen keeps brewing scintillating scenes about them that it leaves me with an insatiable urge for more chapters. Big ups to you dearie❤

The Bad Boy Next Room

The Bad Boy Next Room

I’m hopeless,’ she screamed internally. “Hey, Earth to Dawn?” He snapped his fingers in front of her. “Hmmm?” Dawn looked up to him. “I was talking about our noodles-and-nuggets moment,” he said, then fed her a nugget. She chewed and replied, “If I’m Noodle, you’re gonna be Nugget.” “N&N? Cute. But I swear, if we end up melting together like chocolate, I’m blaming you,” he remarked. “Pfft!” She rolled her eyes, trying not to laugh.

After reading every chapter, I keep on thinking-How can the author write the chapters so well filled with a lot of humour, love that melts hearts and everything that is necessary for a very good story. This is the best story ever. Mostly I can never read a story till the end but this is an exception
