I said to myself as I held my arm out in front of me, as I opened and closed my fist, turning my arm left to right, trying to make it hurt like it had, or seeing any signs of a mark left from him grabbing me, but it was like it had never happened too.
Shaking my head, thinking I was losing my mind, I continued on determined to make it to the top of this damn mountain. As I continued, I realized that something felt so eerie about the forest. Normally back home, our forests came to life at night, and I used to love hearing the sound of the night owls hooting away, and the sound of the crickets and bull frogs. But here, there was nothing, not a single sound of anything filling the air around me
