My Cousin Maria Schneider Novels & Stories

“Can you not?” He grinned, but the momentary humor faded as he studied my face again. “But seriously. Something else is eating at you.” The weight of it pushed up against my ribs. I breathed in slowly. “Maria,” I said. Josh blinked. “Maria? Your step sister? What did she do now?” I swallowed. “She is my cousin. Literally. I found out my father's brother, Uncle Chen, is her father.” Josh froze mid-blink. “Come again?”

Seaport City, Carmoria When I hit the hotel lobby, barely anyone had shown up yet. I grabbed a quiet seat, flipped open my laptop, and dove into a tough case. Then the doors swung open—Summer Tucker and Jason Perry strolled through the doors. All eyes on them. Relatives swarmed instantly, laying it on thick. "Summer's killing it—big name overseas, and married to a total success story!" "Heard the Carmoria Music Association begged her to come back and perform. She's making the whole family proud!"

However, I did not know she was the Baritone we talked about. I just don't fucking understand why on earth people related to me were so obsessed with hurting Catherine!? "Edward? What's wrong?" Maria broke my thoughts as I looked up at her. "I know them," I muttered, unhesitant. "She is my first aunt beside Aunt Meril. They are cousins." "Ah-well," Maria pushed the last photo in front of me, where Mom, Aunt Meril and Ivanka were closely smiling at the camera. "I figured out after some research."

I tied my hair in a messy man-bun and freshened up a little. Marie was applying makeup when I walked out of the bathroom. She smiles at me, "See don't you just look dashing?" "Thank you love." I smile at her. …. "So your cousin's name is Penny and her husband is Jay. They have a two year old son, who is also your Godchild Aiden and your grandparents are also here. So that's everything right?" I ask Marie once we step out of the car. She intertwines our fingers together and I automatically smile, "Yeah that's all you need to know." Marie says.

she tells me walking past Alice “ don’t fuck with me wolf man!“ She huffed following Maria to the kitchen “ Please everyone sit.” She smiles setting the tea pot and cups on the table joining us “ spill you two, what's going on?” Alice growls “ okay okay, Ritchard is Alpha Lucas' cousin. He was kicked out because he killed a lot of people that included my sister. She was only 3” Maria tells her avoiding the tears that started to leave her eyes. “ Alice, I love you, and our kids. I know how special our daughter's birth is. But they are out for power. And you know how dangerous guys like that are.” I tell her to place my hand on top of hers.

Maria Larissa stares at me, and her voice suddenly chills. "Who's that on the phone?" Wide-eyed, I stare at Larissa, terrified at what she'll think. No sense lying now. "It's my cousin Mercy. She lives in New York." "Maria! Maria!" Mercy shouts again, and it's louder this time as I pick up the phone. "Put me on speaker, goddamn it!"

she said, getting all sheepish, “um, sometimes people think because my dad was the consigliere… and now my brother is Axel's consigliere, it will be hard to work with me.” I smiled brightly as I responded. “Oh, but that wouldn’t matter, given that this is the Don’s house, I am his wife, and Leon is his son. I think it won’t be a problem working with the consigliere's sister.” The two of us held eye contact for a second, until Maria cleared her throat. “Oh, I'm… I’m just going to help in the kitchen or something and go to bed.” “Oh, okay. Good night, Maria.” I said looking towards her.

Most of the time she ate like a bird, anyway—just a half a sandwich or a cup of soup. There wasn’t any point in driving herself all the way over to the next town to go to the large shiny supermarket, even though her next-door-neighbor Mrs. Walker said the supermarket had better sales. Besides, Mrs. Schneider liked to stand by the counter and chat with Frank and catch up on “all the news,” as she put it. Mrs. Schneider collected her purse, double-checked to make sure the front door was locked (you really couldn’t be too careful with these foreigners in the neighborhood), and went out through the kitchen to the small back porch.

I asked confused. Maria gave me a shocked look. "He's the greatest cook in the world. He's our main chef. He cooks for celebrity gatherings. He's so handsome. He's so hot. I heard he's even cousins with the big boss. You know the big boss right, Mr I__" She stopped mid way looking straight ahead with fear etched all over her face.

(MARIANNA'S POV) My heart skipped a beat when I spotted the familiar figure approaching us. I squeezed Vin's arm instinctively, a smile spreading across my face. "Who is that?" Vin asked, his brow furrowing slightly. "Leo!" I called out, waving excitedly. I turned to my husband, eyes bright with unexpected joy. "It's my cousin, Leonardo." "Your cousin?" Vin's voice carried a note of suspicion. "You never mentioned he was coming to visit."
