"And that you don't remember the last decade."
"Not a single day," I confirmed.
"Do you remember Liam?"
"I do," I smiled faintly, glancing at the man beside me. "I remember him as my childhood best friend."
Liam’s jaw tightened slightly at the phrase, a flicker of something raw passing through his eyes before he masked it. Vienna caught the reaction instantly, her pen pausing over the paper.
"And how do you view him now?" Vienna asked gently.
"He's my husband," I said simply. "He's a bit rigid, terribly serious, and occasionally very annoying... but I feel safe around him."
