Emma crouches next to me. "Yeah." I draw my hand back. "Why is it like this?" "See any flags in there?" I look hard. "No." "They're hidden well tonight." She adjusts her swim cap. "Riverheist is basically capture the flag underwater." "That's really neat." A grin pulls at my lips. "I can't believe I've never heard of it." "It's not that popular, I guess. We only play one team around here. They're brutal, though." I stand up. "They're that good?"

"Your mother was a casualty. Collateral damage if you will. And you, sweetheart, are about to be yet another." "Ginevra, enough!" Father yelled suddenly, then turned to me, a small breath escaping him. "Your mother died due to an accident." "Because they blocked every path in the city! Because they took the sick man who agreed to donate his heart! Are you really going to overlook that?" "Yes," he said simply, like he was answering to something as simple as wanting extra sugar with his customary afternoon tea. "Dad," I said, my voice low.

Lights, sharp and bright poured on her face, and in a snap, she regained her sanity only to see a truck driving towards her; honking so loudly, Emily felt her ear drums pleading for mercy. She tried to run, saw the crowd that had now gathered pleading with her to but somehow she couldn't move, she couldn't even lift her feet. Her heart leapt into her mouth and she shut her eyes, awaiting for fate to take its full cause, tears pouring from her eyes as her life flashed before her eyes. Is it not better after all to die this way than in the hand of an Alpha turned demon, she betrayed? With her eyes still shut, Emily felt herself being lifted and yanked off the road; her head bumping into a stre

“Can’t you just have someone make you your own everlasting flagon?” Mydera sent me a cheeky smile. “Sounds that simple, doesn’t it?” Then she glared. “And we prefer to be called mages, dear, not gypsies.” Then she held up a finger and turned away from us so she could stroll around the campsite. “But it just so happens that the only man to figure out how to perfect the everlasting flagon incantation and enchantment died before sharing his specialty with anyone else. So…” She shrugged. “They’re extremely rare. Your mother must’ve been very important to get her hands on one.”

It has to end because my head will surely explode if not. "Time of Death: 3:45 pm." Then I breathed a signed of relief. At the same time, the deafening cry of the soul was swallowed up by the darkness of the earth. When he got there the beautiful fireflies appeared to him. a sight he had only seen once in his entire life. something he was very happy about.

I stare at the lovely city of Manchester as I weigh my options. It’s either bankruptcy and death or marriage and coronation. I guess the latter isn’t much of a bad idea, only it is. Whatever the case, my father’s murders must pay. I have a secret after all, I can hardly die.
