My Friend Husband Novels & Stories

" traces in the girl's voice the annoyance. "Hahahahaha! It's just my friend, I don't hit married women." He seriously said. "Huh? Do you mean she has a husband? She's married?" "Yeah! I told you that she is married," "Is that so? Why is she here in Canada? Where is her husband? Why are you with him?" Her sequential question. "Long story, as long as you don't talk about it when you're with her okay?" "Okay okay, I get it. What's your friend's name again?"

It was so good to see them like this. “Oh yes, I can tell why the day is so beautiful for you,” I said, lightly pushing my best friend with my elbow, making her laugh awkwardly. She was looking at her husband, all silly and embarrassed. “He’s a knockout, isn’t he? Good heavens, the years are passing by, and he's just like wine, getting better with time,” she said, making me laugh sincerely. “Look, I say the same about my husband,” I said, eating an olive I was using to put on a salad.

Her friend is her biggest support right now. Her friend is a doctor and from the past week she is feeling weirdly nauseous. She looked around, but a sad sigh escaped her lips after realizing he is not there. Filling her husband needs is now a routine for her, which she can't ignore. But she was expecting a little bit humanity from him. He was treating her like a one night stand every night.

Something I desired so much. "I'm at a friend's, by the way---" "What fucking friend are you talking about? The last time I checked, Claire is your only friend, and I already went there to check on you but you were not there," "The last I checked, Claire is my only friend that you know. That doesn't prove that I have no other friend," I shrugged casually, tucking my hair away. Silence played in his end for the next few seconds before he finally spoke up. "Do you realise that you are no longer a single woman? Have you forgotten that we are married? How could you be out this late while your husband is alone at home?"

my friend asked again after she stop laughing. "It's good that someone is worried about you even if he's not your friend," I said in a drunken tone and it was obvious that I no longer had control over myself. "Me, my husband doesn't care about me. Well, maybe because we're not a real couple," I don't know why I suddenly felt heavy. I was feeling light earlier but why is it suddenly becoming heavy again?

“Those two years when your legs were paralyzed—yes, I wasn’t by your side. But why? Because I was out finding a cure for you! “I went into the hottest deserts, battling sandstorms and blistering heat to find the plants needed for extracting those medicinal compounds. My team and I were nearly swallowed by quicksand. We faced storms that almost killed us. But I never backed down because I wanted you healed. I wanted the research to succeed more than anyone else. “And what about you? While I was risking my life for you, what were you up to? You were sleeping with my cousin. You hid it from me for two years! And you even used ‘business trips’ as an excuse to marry her in America!

" California was fun and lovely, but I missed you too much when we left. I had a few friends but not as close as we were. I got married and have a son." " You are married? Why is your husband and son not here with you then". I asked " As for my husband, we are divorced, and my son is with my family, I will go pick him up when I settle". “ Roselyn, are you seeing someone these days? Do you want to talk about it?” I asked politely.

“You’re married to him.” I remember looking back at the door. At the space he left behind. Trying to match that word husband with the way he looked at me. With the way he spoke. With the way he left. It didn’t fit. Not anywhere. “Are you sure?” I asked. Because nothing about him felt like mine. Nothing about me felt like his. My friend hesitated. Just for a second. Then nodded. But even then Even in that moment I knew. Something wasn’t right.

Was I the problem here? "Gina, we’ve been friends since childhood," I told her carefully. "Exactly! That makes it even more romantic!" she chirped. "Gina, he’s Asher’s best friend. Doesn’t that strike you as… weird?" "Ma'am, are you from the 80s or something?" she asked bluntly, folding her arms. "I’m sorry, but your ex husband doesn’t deserve that kind of loyalty from either of you. If his best friend wants you, that's his loss, not yours."

"That's different. Those are strangers, and my husband doesn't know. But you—you're my best friend's husband. I came here to talk sense into you, not to do... this. If she ever found out, it'd be a disaster." I held her close, selfishly savoring her softness against me. "This is exactly how you can help," I explained patiently. "I'm going out of my mind here. You relieve me, you get what you need too, and most importantly—I won't have to force myself on Rachel anymore. It's actually good for my marriage." My words finally struck a chord. She considered it for a moment, then relented. "Fine. But you'd better make sure Rachel never finds out about this."
