The windows are down, the wind is blowing in my hair and I’m not sure I could be any happier than I am in this moment with my mate and brother beside me, loving life. The time flies and before I’m ready for it to end, we arrive at Canyon Ridge. Uncle Rik and Aunt Cara are there to greet us, as are Cohen and Clint. We get out and greet everyone before heading inside to join the festivities. It’s time for the third and final Alpha in our tight group to take over as Alpha of his pack. The property is heavily guarded again, just like it used to when my father was Alpha, but this time, most of the guys standing around are from the hockey team. Sure, there are other guards to keep an eye on them, but right now, it’s difficult to find out who I can trust, and who I can’t. “Good morning, Alpha.” “Good morning.” I walk through the property. The feeling in my chest doesn’t subside and it takes everything for me to force myself to wait and not race toward Moonveil right this second.

He just stares ahead as we drive back to the apartment. “What could possibly go wrong if we go see the hockey game tonight?” I ask, glancing at my phone. “We are not here to have fun, Silver,” Lance replies, polite but firm. “I know,” I sigh. “I just want us to go to the arena the Elder Alpha played in before.” Atlas finally shifts. “This is a good opportunity to see what he did while he was in the human world.”
