I called out loudly, but not loud enough for the neighbors or anyone around to hear me.
I glanced around. It was still early in the morning, and the neighborhood looked calm and peaceful, but I refused to be deceived again. Every neighborhood around here appeared quiet on the surface, but I was sure that each of them had a dirty secret lying around.
The door opened again. I quickly parted my lips to speak, but she spoke before I could say a word.
“Get in,” she said coldly, moving aside for me to enter .
I paused for a moment, almost turning back, but I swallowed nervously and pushed aside my doubts, and stepped into the house.
