Hannah, I'm going straight to the CEO's office and show them my works. When we got back to my office, Chantelle couldn't stop laughing and telling me how upset Ms. Hannah's face was before she entered the CEO's office. She deserves it, she's been a bitch since the start and if she's thinking that she will scare me just because she's the secretary, then she's wrong. I'm Naomi Kim and no one can intimidate me. _____

Noelle was sitting in the garden outside since, after getting married to Ronan, she had tried all of the things she thought she would be good at and could end up as a business for her, but it turned out that she was not really a good businesswoman in the end. She looked down at her laptop that had been taunting her for the past hour with the cursor blinking rapidly in her face. She heard that writers made a bank of money and now she suddenly wanted to be a writer, but she did not even know what she was supposed to write. Her brain was devoid of all emotions.

“I’m fine. Unpleasant memories but nothing a bottle of wine can’t cure later.” With that, she pushed the door open to reveal the expansive expensively furnished office. As big as the office was the furnishing was simple. Huge computer screens displaying stock reports filled the major space in the room. Anyone would be tired staring at those screens for hours but the man behind the desk looked anything but tired. Behind the huge mahogany desk with tanned leather on the surface was a presence so powerful I felt drawn to him…the man called Noel Greer. Nolan’s arms slid around my waist protectively. When I looked up at him he was frowning at Noel with jealousy in his eyes.

I leave feeling lighter. Later, Mia meets me at the park. We walk slowly as her baby kicks. I touch her belly, smiling through happy tears. “Grandma would love this.” Mia cries. “We all miss her.” That evening, Noah comes home excited. He’s set up a small office space—his own. A fresh start. “It’s ours,” he says with a tired grin. I hug him tight, pride swelling in my chest. That night, we celebrate quietly. Dinner. Candles. Wine.

Elio held our son, tucking the badge coiled with the black mamba into his swaddling. "From today, he is my sole heir." Cheers erupted, but the guests whispered in awe. "This Donna is legendary… ruling the Rossi family herself, and she's Elio Massimo's Donna too…" "Tsk," another sneered. "Heard the old Don Rossi shot himself. And Don Colombo… was found dead at the docks this morning. Enemy work, probably." In a corner of the hall, my consigliere quietly handed me a letter. "Madre… Don Colombo's final note."

Mae asked her as Nora blushed, shaking her head Mae chuckled, "I pray he doesn't kill you one day!" Mae said as they got to the front of Dominco's door, stopping Mae had to get back to work and besides she couldn't enter the office with her, "When you're both done fucking I'd be in my office,I never knew I liked this office life till I started" Mae said smiling as she walked out before Nora could give a reply to the first sentence she made, blushing Nora opened the door by pushing it , entering inside she found it empty, looking around she searched for him but she didn't see him, sighing she went to sit down on his seat, placing her leg on the table she moaned the moment she stretched it out

Morning sunlight poured through the tall glass windows of the dining room, warm and golden against the marble floor of the Cassel mansion. Summer had settled fully over the city now. The sky outside looked painfully clear, too peaceful for the tension sitting between the husband and wife at the breakfast table. The only sounds came from the faint clinking of silverware and Neo’s soft babbling from the other side of the room. Nova laughed when the babysitter wiped cream from her cheek. Enola watched them quietly for a moment before lowering her gaze back to the tablet in her hand. Financial reports filled the screen, but she had not actually read a single line for the last three minutes.

The flicker of a smile she was trying to hide. “What are you doing here?” she asked, voice pitched high. I stood slowly, my knees aching, and handed her the envelope. “Adrian texted. Said something important was left at the house.” Someone whispered, “Who is she?” Then louder, “Mrs. Kane?” And laughter. “Our charming Don Kane has a secret Donna?” “No—” Adrian stepped off the stage. “No,” he said again, firmer this time. “She’s the housemaid. What are you doing here?”

I’d gotten what I needed for now, confirmation that this was the right place. By the time I got back to the library, my face hurt from holding a neutral expression. Nova was still curled in her beanbag chair, flipping pages. She looked up and smiled like nothing in the world was wrong. “Ready to go, Mommy?” I nodded, swallowing the taste of adrenaline still sharp on my tongue. “Yeah, baby. Let’s go home.” At dinner, Noah asked how our day had been. I smiled and told him about the story Nova liked best, leaving out everything else but under the table, my foot tapped an impatient rhythm against the floor.
