Matteo’s voice called out, low but urgent, “Boss! I just reviewed the feed again—there’s at least six men on the property. Maybe more.”
“Armed?” I asked without turning.
“Yes. Light weapons, handguns mostly, but they’re carrying backpacks—likely more explosives.”
“Get everyone on alert. Shut down the estate. No one comes in or out,” I said.
He nodded, and I turned sharply into the security room. The lights glared down on a sea of monitors. My men were scrambling already—footage of the perimeter was flashing across every screen. And in the center of it all was that one camera feed… Hayden, still with a gun at his head.
