The Miracle Luna
As he left, I looked back at her, my jaw tightening.
Whatever was happening, she was at the centre of it. And I wasn’t going to stop until I had answers.
I hadn’t even taken a step away from the bed when Austin burst in again and spoke up.
“Alpha,” his voice carried an urgency that made me pause.
“What is it now?” I asked, turning my sharp gaze on him.
Austin’s brows furrowed deeply, his face clouded with concern as his eyes dropped to my stomach. “Holy shit.”
I followed his gaze instinctively to the side of my torso where an eerie black patch had begun to spread. It looked like cracked, burned skin, with thin, vein-like tendrils creeping outward.
