Painless Black Spot Inside Cheek Novels & Stories

Not because I wanted to. Just because the food was there. My cheek throbbed with every movement of my jaw. Every time I chewed, pain radiated through my face. But I kept eating. When the plate was empty, I set down the fork. Sat back in the chair. Stared out the window at the grounds below. The grass. The trees. The iron gates in the distance. My hand came up again. Touched my cheek. The swelling had gotten worse. I could feel it without even looking.

Black. He had black eyes. Those previously dark brown eyes of his had turned completely black. There was no sclera around them. No iris. Just...black. Completely black. Devoid of any light. Any soul. And his mouth...it wasn't normal anymore. His lips weren't looking that appealing anymore. Because there were sharp, jagged teeth protruding from in between them. Making him look like the most frightening demon that she had ever seen.

I frowned as she settled into a dimly lit area and stuck out her tongue. I straightened up, my mouth agape, unsure how to react to what I saw. Her tongue was injured, with deep cuts that didn't look recent. When I looked more closely, I saw that her teeth were chipped and she had scars, not only on her tongue but also all over the inside of her mouth.

Thursday, 12th October, 7:32 AM Honey stared at her reflection in the bathroom mirror, carefully assessing her options. Last night, she'd slept restlessly despite the comfort of her friends' presence in the penthouse. The pain had kept her awake. The bruise on her cheek had darkened overnight, a vivid purple-blue stain that no amount of makeup could fully conceal. She pressed her fingertips gently to the edge, wincing at the tenderness. It would be at least a week before this faded completely. She did not want to answer questions about it. It was bad enough that Grayson knew.

I’ve died! This? This is nothing. I braced my hands against the dresser and lifted my head slowly. For a moment, everything looked normal in the mirror. I have the same face, skin and the mark is sitting too prettily sround my neck like a cruel joke I used to adore. Then I leaned closer and mmy breath caught. It was right there though so faint that I would have missed it if I wasn’t searching for the source of burning pain on my skin. There are thin black lines that curled just beneath the skin at the base of the mark like veins but too dark. As though something was spreading quietly where it shouldn’t be.

For a while, I have not seen myself and this person in the mirror is a new person. My cheeks are all gone now. My eyes look lifeless. It now appears hooded with dark circles around it. There are rashes around my nose which I have felt but the scale-like patches around my cheeks is shocking and disturbing. I lick my lips which seem to be almost the colour of my inner palm. I look hungry. That is what gave me away, not my slippers.

"I've been searching for answers, and I was told that you might be able to help me." The sage old man appeared slightly different from the image I had seen on the internet. Maybe it was the picture quality or maybe the picture was taken a while back. His features were worn with age and wisdom, and his eyes seemed to hold a depth of knowledge that I could only imagine. My eyes could not help but notice a black leaf-like spot in his all-white beard standing out, rooting from below his lower lip.

Afterwards, I proceed to the white washtub to brush my teeth. My face looks hideous as I lightly scrub my teeth with the toothbrush, and I pause my brushing when I spot the faint, almost faded bruise just by the upper side of my right cheek, close to my ear. I have always known that the bruise is there, and as before, its presence is now triggering a lot of images, and a scream I all want to forget. ‘This is not over.’

As he left, I looked back at her, my jaw tightening. Whatever was happening, she was at the centre of it. And I wasn’t going to stop until I had answers. I hadn’t even taken a step away from the bed when Austin burst in again and spoke up. “Alpha,” his voice carried an urgency that made me pause. “What is it now?” I asked, turning my sharp gaze on him. Austin’s brows furrowed deeply, his face clouded with concern as his eyes dropped to my stomach. “Holy shit.” I followed his gaze instinctively to the side of my torso where an eerie black patch had begun to spread. It looked like cracked, burned skin, with thin, vein-like tendrils creeping outward.

As he just woke up with a hangover, his mind wasn’t cooperating with him to recall anything about last night. “ fuck “ cursing in his morning horse voice Rishi rubbed his palms over his face, too much of alcohole, he presumed. “ aahh “ he hissed instantly when his palms rubbed over his cheek areas, where he felt instant pain while touching it. Frowning in confusion he again touched the same area of cheek and felt a slight unusual bump there, quickly adjusting the front mirror at him Rishi looked kneely in the mirror and found finger marks imprinted on his right cheek along with radiating redness around the bump area in cheek.
