Lips, the color of fresh mortal blood, tipped up in a cunning smile.
Jade, the Goddess of Jealousy, was here.
And she wasn’t alone.
At her side two creatures emerged from the mirror’s rippling glass, two things plucked directly from the darkest, most terrifying of nightmares.
Their bodies resembled that of a wolf, but that was where the similarities ended. Twisted snouts of peeling, black flesh covered their blocky faces. Where eyes should’ve been there was only smooth, leathery flesh.
They were blind.
