After a few minutes more the candle lights came on again while the owls returned. I waited to watch in alert and zero seconds. The new vampires stood up in their immortal forms, all in a separate species from the other. They were all physically different. The first one looked very similar to the joker, only this one had fangs, longer nails, a deadly face that made him look like an angry bat, short, red-skinned, and a very huge head. I quickly recognized that one to be the night prowler. He was of the Yara-ma-yha-who breed. An ancient breed common in Japan.

I pass the axolytol pool, glowing in the moonlight with all the different colors of the animals sleeping in the pond. As I get deeper into the woods, I hear more shuffling sounds, startled animals bolting away from me. We have deer here, similar to humans, but our deer are more majestic. The leader of our herd is the Ceryneian Hind, the deer of the humans’ Greek mythology. She has antlers of gold and hooves of brass. Her coat is a dappled color and she is fast, faster than almost any animal in our forest, with the notable exception of Dominic, our resident Alpha werewolf and Lucero, the only Unicorn in existence. She is known to the elven community as GoldMoon.

“I am Malaika Thronsden of Hala. Your name sounds like our island.” “Finally, nice meeting you… princess.” Malaika gaped upon hearing how the voice called her. “You know me?” It didn’t reply until a small creature appeared inside the cave giving a luminous green light. Malaika held the dagger tight. “Are you a shifter? Reveal yourself!” Malaika’s eyes widened upon realizing what the creature was. An axolotl! The gentle voice talked again, “I’m giving you my spirit animal to be your companion.”

I smirk, "more like my mates. Plural Jack. They're quite territorial you know?" He gasps, "two? Mates? That's just a legend!". I shake my head, "no legend." I move my neck from side to side and show him the marks. Jack's face pales and he swallows with a nod, "lets just get this done so I can go back to my pack." After shifting into our wolves, we start circling. Jack is a big black wolf with a white flash across his tail, and piercing blue eyes; not beautiful, but freaky. It doesn't go with his wolf or his nature.

Was I the only one who didn't know this secret? "Are you sure?" Alpha, Jack asked, searching my gaze. His lips curling into a grin. "I assure you, Beta Jamie is no normal wolf, but don't take my word for it..." My gaze shifted to Jamie; he looked like any other wolf. I couldn't understand what Alpha Jack was going on about. "He is a warlock," Kaya hissed, the hair on her back raised. "He is just acting to be a wolf so he can blend in."

*Carmela's POV* The vision started as blurry but the loud noise was clear enough. Wolf cries, snarling and growling. I couldn't contain the fear inside my heart. Please don't let anything bad happen to my love King Alpha Jack. I prayed to the Moon Goddess silently. When two wolves that are fighting caught my attention, I knew one of them is Jack. His dark grey wolf fighting on top of a big brown one on the ground. My heart almost fell out of my chest when I saw the other wolf trying to bite and claw him.

‘Err, Hi General, er sorry to disturb you both, it's just, well, my friends and I were wondering’ Jack smiled encouragingly, ‘You want to know about the dogs?’ The young man sat down his face alight with interest, ‘So they are dogs?’ He asked and I turned my bright blue eyes to him and stood up shaking out my thick silky fur, ‘They are Wolf/Dogs, hybrids, half Wolf half German Shepherd, bred for their immense strength and incredible intelligence, I knew what was coming Jack loved to show off. ‘Would you guys like a demonstration? It would do them good to stretch their legs’

There was always the risk of turning ferral if too long in your animal form but they did not seem to mind the risk. “Vera?” I heard someone ask. “Yea?” I answered and then he joined me. He was one of the therianthrope shifters. He looked creepy and hot at the same time. His other was a tarantula, from the middle down he was spider and from his navel up he was human.
