A Queen Among Snakes

A Queen Among Snakes

They’re mostly jade-green with white and blue marbling and my skin is burned where the bangles touch my skin. Oh no, I know exactly what this is. Setia taught me about what things are dangerous for a nagata. Nagatas are vulnerable to iron, a flower known as snake's head and a gemstone called serpentine. Iron has the same effect on a nagata as silver does to a mutolupus. Snake's head is poison to my kind; in small doses, it weakens us painfully, in large doses it’s fatal and serpentine can render us as good as human. Even kill us.

I absolutely loved this book. It was such a welcome change to have a timid and sweet main character. The writing is so great, and had me in tears multiple times. my heart broke and soared along with the story. I would highly recommend this book!

i thought book 2 couldn't possibly live up to book 1 but i am so happy to be wrong. this just moved the entire series forward and was even better than the first. i think i'm a huge Mei stan now and am so excited to start the next book. i rarely cry at books, but this one got me several times.

I nodded my head signalling him to carry on. “She’s in Margam territory.” He said “Princes Noraveena was taken by the Royal rebels group who took her before and they took her into the Margam pack. She’s with the witches.” My brothers and I all looked at each other. My mouth went dry and I felt sick. They had been thorough and they had been clever. They took Nora to the once place they knew we were not allowed to be, not unless we wanted to plunge the whole continent into a war.

Charlotte’s point of view: It was dark at night when I saw hands holding me by the neck, it was so dark I wasn’t able to see them, but I felt them alright, their claws was sinking into my skin, my eyes are closed, I feel the blood draining out of my brain, I couldn’t stay longer, at least not in that position, else I would die. My arms immediately fly up to my neck in an attempt to remove those cursed hands. “you should really never sleep deep outside kid” I immediately come back to consciousness my mind now at ease.

BRINGING MY WIFE BACK

BRINGING MY WIFE BACK

The land consisted of dry plains and forgotten savannahs, neglected by the noble overseeing the city—Count Veraga. Angga was one of nine outermost villages scattered across Caihina. Reaching Nauruan’s center from Angga took ten days by carriage, given the treacherous terrain, or five days on horseback. The village sat on the border between desert and savannah. It was here that Atthy was born and raised.

Sara replied. "Do you have an Omega that can come and train her?" Elder Summers asked. "We are looking for one now" Sara answered. "I may have one that could help you. My mate is an Omega and has become bored now that the kids have moved out. She could come and help." Elder Summers offered. "We would be honored to have her assist us" Jack replied with a grin. "I will speak with the Council and Matilda today but I think that everything should fall into place. Congrats! You have a new pack member and a new daughter!" Elder Summers stated and the car breathed a sigh of relief.

I keep rereading this because of how good it is! It's one of my top 3 favorite reads! Very well written, minor grammatical errors, but the emotions conveyed are amazing. I laugh, cry, and gasp every time, even though I've read it 5 times already.

This the best book I've read in any of the apps like this one. The plot is original. The characters are well developed. The story is well written. With a little editing, this could be published as a traditional book.

“But people will still try to force it on me, won’t they?” His expression darkened. “Some will. And that’s why Jace and I are making sure no one takes that choice from you.” I hesitated before asking, “Are there other omegas?” Nolan nodded. “Yes, but not many. In packs, they’re often protected, valued. But outside of that… it’s different.” My stomach twisted. “Different how?” His jaw tensed slightly. “Unclaimed omegas—those without a pack, without protection—stand out. They draw attention, sometimes the wrong kind. That’s why it’s important you understand what you are.”

Naga opened and she stepped in, glancing around worriedly once she found Tide she smacked him hard in the head. "What stupid message was that?" She shouted angrily. "What ridiculous message are you sending me?" She smacked him again. "What did he say?" Naga asked. "I'm about to be eaten alive by a Crystal, is what he sent." She told Naga and the Elder laughed. "Well, Naga is sending me off to wrestle a Crystal, I will not be eating but I could get badly injured, I need you to accompany me, please, dear friend, I could use some of your magic."

Daughter of the Naga

Daughter of the Naga

The sand rolled about, forming weird symbols over the board. "No pall of darkness has ever before enveloped this holy land," the Hora uttered the words slowly, leaning over the board as if he was reading those signs. "You shall go on otherworldly quests, enter a fire-lit realm where no living soul has ever gone. When ashes fall from the roaring sky, you shall lead the Naga race to the Great War. The fate of the living—and the dead—rest upon you, O the great destroyer."

My Alpha's Betrayal: Burning In The Flames Of His Vengeance

My Alpha's Betrayal: Burning In The Flames Of His Vengeance

He hissed. I stood up slowly, gripping my bleeding arm. My entire body was aching. "I do not wish to kill you, if I wanted, I could have killed your grandson." I looked at the Naga before me, he didn’t look much older than his grandson, but they aged slowly and could live up to five hundred years. They were the species with the second longest life span, after the Fae. His eyes narrowed and I tried to calm my heart, not wanting him to know the extent of how exhausted I was.

This was a bit of a hard read with all the dark scenes but I love the world-building and the complexities of the many different characters in this story. Many may hate the male lead, but, i think, it’s one of the most beautifully written character arcs I’ve read. Loving this author more and more.
