“I do say your name. Occasionally like you do with mine without adding king before it. It sounds intimate then. Does it not, Aria?” She looked at him surprised. It did sound intimate just to say the name which was why they didn’t do it in their world. They added titles before it. Only saying the name made it sound as if he knew her. But to him, wasn’t it normal? People didn’t use titles here. “Would you feel that way if I only said your name?”

I replied curtly, my voice sharp with irritation. Linda's smile wavered, her eyes narrowing for a moment before she regained her composure. "You know," she began, her voice holding a hint of defiance, "you don't even call me 'Luna.' It's always just 'Linda.'" My response was unapologetic. "I was not chosen for the title of Alpha. I was born with it," I stated, my tone unyielding. "You, on the other hand, were chosen as Luna by the pack. Continue to disregard my name and I'll be forced to snap your useless neck."

According to her, his name was Patrick and she referred to him as the beta. Hearing her speak, I noticed that people there were given titles in alphabetical order. Mr William was Alpha, Patrick was Beta and so on. I wondered what letter Susan was so I asked. " So what alphabet are you?" I asked and she paused to look at me with a confused expression on her face. " You don't know?" She asked ' Know what?" I responded. She looked at me as if she was about to say something then changed her mind last minute. Knowing that the conversation was at a dead-end, I decided to change the topic.

I laughed. Riley rolled her eyes. “You know what I mean!” I grinned back at her, and we dissolved into a fit of laughter. Riley turned to me and said, “Wait a minute – that means your name isn’t really Vera, is it?” I shook my head. “Nope.” “It’s Valeria … Alpha Valeria.” I nodded silently. It was the first time I had heard anyone address me by my title since I got my memory back. It settled over me like a comforting blanket.

“You want to start a fashion brand?” Maria nodded. “Yeah. We can call it A√ancii.” Luca smirked, rolling the name over his tongue as if testing its weight. “It has a nice ring to it.” “I thought so too.” His thumb brushed against her lower lip as he studied her. “That’s a lot of work, Mimi.” She knew what he was getting at. She was already handling her role as CHRO at SpitFire, and now, with her pregnancy, things were only going to get more demanding.

Lydia’s eyes widened, glancing around to see if others had heard what she’d heard. The look on their faces confirmed it. This was not normal. Alpha Alexander Laurent did not tell people to drop his title. Ever “Okay, Alpha...sorry, Ale...Alexander,” Lydia stumbled over the words, clearly flustered. I said, to Leia who was resting her head on my chest. “Okay, so here it fucking goes. List number one are the normal fucking names, like. Nova, Cara, Aria and Aurora.” “They’re all cute names. What about the not normal list?” I said, very curious how strange these names would be. “Okay, these are all inspired by fucking movies or games. So Rayne, Willow, Rey, Ripley, Aeryn, Elora and Allana.” I laughed, “is it wrong that I like the movie names better? So which one is your favorite?”

“You can’t be serious? Gabe wouldn’t just give you his office.” “More like he decorated it himself,” she said with a smile. “Every little piece. Gabe’s thoughtful that way. I’m sure he’s done something thoughtful for you, hasn’t he?” Heat crept up my neck as I unclenched my fists and kept my expression neutral. She noticed and her smile widened. “That’s Alpha Gabe to you. A title is just as important as getting someone’s name right. Right, Milan?” Her jaw ticked at the mispronunciation of her name, but she shook it off. Her deep brown eyes glinted with mischief. “You’re right. Maybe, I should take some time to get reacquainted with the new Alpha Gabe.”

“What’s the name of the hospital? — The question came out almost automatically, my mind already planning what to do next. The silence that followed was awkward. Everyone in the room stared at me in surprise. Axel, Anton, Anneliese, and Pietra were visibly confused by my sudden interest in this girl who, theoretically, was just a stranger to me. “Yeah. We are.” I opened the car door for her, making sure she was comfortable before getting in myself. As I started the engine, I glanced over at her. “Have you thought of any names?” She bit her lip. “I have a few in mind. But I want to hear yours first.” I drummed my fingers against the steering wheel. “How about… Lucas? Or Nathan?” Anna tilted her head. “I like Nathan.” “Nathan Lysander,” I tested the name, rolling it over my tongue. “Has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?”
