Echoes from Below
"I really want to go home."
Those voices were coming from the water, from every molecule in the water.
I looked at myself in the mirror. My eyes had turned a deep, dark blue, and slit-shaped like a predator.
I opened my mouth. Under my tongue lay a small, glowing tumor pulsing softly. It was the core of the God of the Seas.
I had not killed it, neither had I escaped.
In that violent fight, we fused together. Its colossal body had collapsed, but its consciousness and power had spilled into me, merging with mine.
