Randomly Smelling Bleach Novels & Stories

The way he was mumbling something under his breath and how he stomped over to the door made him seem absolutely breathtaking. Before the knock could even sound all the way Six had already jerked the door open. “What,” he growled out. The smell hit me first. It was so strong that it made my nostrils burn and my stomach clench. The sickening smell was so harsh that it had me gasping for fresh air. It was the smell of cologne that was mixed in with my air. The only reason I knew that was because it was what human males wore to mask their own aroma. My instinct had told me that they wore it to ward off any predators from attacking.

She was waiting for Zoe to fall asleep before she turned it on. It took exactly twenty minutes for Lucy to get the tea and walk back to the room. When she pushed the door open, a harsh smell hit her first. It wasn't the scent of tea or perfume. It was the sharp odor of bleach. Lucy’s eyes went wide. She dropped the mugs. They shattered on the floor, splashing hot tea across her shoes, but she didn't feel the sting. She was staring at her wardrobe.

Or some powerful figure concealing their identity for reasons of their own. I open my mouth to refuse help. To say I'm fine, because that's what I always say. Instead, darkness rushes up to meet me. My vision tunnels. Narrows to a pinpoint. I pitch forward and lose consciousness completely. When I wake, I'm staring at an unfamiliar wooden ceiling. Smooth grain. Warm honey color. Not the sterile white of the Pack medical center. The air smells incredible. Cedar and something else. Something clean and wild that makes my wolf Lucy uncurl from her defensive ball.

I stepped onto the dock boards and I took a deep breath, testing the air like a hunting wolf. And the first thing I noticed was the smell. It was wrong. A port should smell like salt, wet wood, fuel, rope, and rust. This one smelled like bleach and fresh paint. New oil had been rubbed into old boards. Kaela inhaled once. “She cleaned it,” she said. I pushed my senses out, searching for my mother’s trail but there was nothing, not even a weak trace. Kaela came close and touched my arm once, a quick anchor. Then she looked for a worker who would talk.

I wrinkled my nose, pulling open the washroom cabinet door to get some bleach. Alex sniffed loudly and said, “It doesn’t smell any different than usual. Are you sure you’re not just smelling things?” “No, it’s awful!” I replied. “Cleaning so early in the morning?” Alex’s mom was at the door of our washroom, peeking in as I was pouring bleach into the toilet bowl and getting the cleaning brush out. “Mom, what are you doing in here?” Alex asked. “The door was open. Anyway, it’s not like I haven’t already seen what you two get up to.”

"What is that smell?" Usually, if someone stood in front of your bathroom and asked you about a certain smell, it would be best if you shoo that person away. However, that wasn't applicable to this moment now. Kat knew that the stench wasn't from something natural, albeit embarrassing. What she didn't know was how to explain it in such a way that wouldn't come across as suspicious. "Er, it's bleach," she said at last. "I've been . . . mega-cleaning the bathroom."

That makes my frown grow deeper and next thing I'm walking faster to see what's happening on the inside. The place is dark I would probably trip and fall if it isn't for the provision of midday light illuminating rather dimly into the open space by the extended half-glass walls on the other end of the bakery. My nose scrunches up a bit when I inhale a whiff of the mild smell of bleach mixed with a tropical air-freshener. My tummy cringes in correspondence to my nose at the imbalance of the smell. Someone's been in here. Or better still, people have been in here.

The sanitary smell of cleaning disinfectant and lemon bleach – the air is pungent with it. Wherever I am, it’s silent, only the sound is the beep, beep, beep that’s already slowly driving me insane. And the sound of my own breathing. I listen closely for any other sounds and smell the air around me. There’s a lingering scent of jasmine and lemon grass that makes my heart rate pick up. My mate has been here. The beep, beep, beep sound increases to the same rhythm of my heart. It’s a heart rate monitor, which means I’m in a Hospital.

The first thing I noticed was the silence, the entire was silent, no heartbeat, no sounds, nothing, just ghostly silence, I felt my heart beating fast in my chest, something was terribly wrong. I kicked the gate open almost tearing it clean off its hinges, I ran inside the house and the first thing I noticed was a strong smell hanging on the air, it was so strong that I had to shield my nose with the back of my hands, I recognized it at once it was the smell of chloroform, it was a chemical used was to make someone fall asleep and judging by how strong the smell was on the air, a whole of it had been pumped into the house.

She’s down and wheezing on the floor half a second later and I continue my sprint to the bathrooms. I burst in through the doors and scream, “Teagan! Are you in here?!” The smell of fake flower scents sprayed over turds wafts under my nose, making me almost retch. Adrenaline and ass-flowers do not mix well, apparently. I swallow with difficulty as I wait for a sign from my friend.
