The eyes had no iris or pupil. They were just solid white orbs, like marble. But inside them, images moved, scenes of an ancient forest, fire ceremonies, a group of people in simple robes standing in a circle around a stone gate. In their center stood a man with a face like Siron’s, but older, binding his own wrists with a cord made of hair and blood.
