Air whipped around me, violent, shrieking. The trees groaned as wind surged, leaves spiraling into the air. The beast lunged then, its tusks aimed for my chest. I screamed, releasing everything. Lightning arced from my hands, blinding white. It cracked against the beast’s hide, searing flesh, filling the air with the stench of burning fur.

She looked down at her hands then, amazed to see swirling orbs of fire hanging on the tips; red hot fire, and blue chilling flame, just like it had been in her eyes. Without much ado, she stepped toward Kon, amazed that Kaden didn’t hold her back, happy that he trusted her to use her energy for the best. But Kon stepped away from her. Storm knew then that the battle was won. Following her instincts, following where the magic was leading her, she raised her hands up to the sky, and released the two bouts of flame, whilst asking herself subconsciously why she was doing that, seeing that her target was right in front of her.

The universe, it seemed, was not yet ready to grant them respite. A colossal storm cloud swirled ominously, blotting out the stars. Thunder crackled, and bolts of lightning pierced the darkness.
