I grab my clothes, but I’m barely dressed when he throws the door open and stomps into the hallway. Thankfully, he was still breathing, though his teeth were missing, which seemed to be Cole’s doing, as he lowered his head and looked away when I asked him.

By the time they arrived, snow was already beginning to fall. Nathan turned to Jane and Jordan and said, "This is the Jackson family's ancestral graveyard, but only our uncle, aunt, my mother, and our ancestors are here now. Grandpa already reserved his spot, and the rest are left for future descendants. Don't worry. I have trustworthy people watching over this place. No one will disturb the peace of the Jackson family." He nervously cast sideway glances at the empty chairs beside him as if afraid they would eat him up. I remained immobile until the final prayer.
