After all, I’m just the messenger,” Natalia said, feigning innocence as she let her fingers trail along the spines of the books on a nearby shelf. “Though I must admit, I was curious about the whispers surrounding you, didn’t take long for me to figure it out though. You’ve certainly made an impression.” She snorted, shaking her head.

I complained. "If you don't shut up, I will glue your mouth shut with magic. I believe I have a spell for that somewhere in here," Natasha said and started to flip the pages in the book. "Okay, okay, sorry. I will shut up," I said. I didn't want to end up with my mouth glued shut. As Natasha continued with her ritual, I couldn't help but be intrigued by her actions. I had never met anyone practicing magic before, and watching it was mesmerizing.

Jasper Knight's POV As I explained to my mate that Zaraphine was in fact my blood gasps sounded behind me. I guess Selene never told her sister that we were indeed intimate. "I will find my daughter Esther and if I find a single scratch on her that is from your hand, I will kill you myself. Do you understand me?" I question harshly. The idea of him looking at all of these items made me feel good that he cared that much. I picked up the first book which was written by a fellow wolf as it had far too many details about where wolves might be located at. I followed the geographics of the writing and realize that the Cresent Moon Pack couldn't be further than a few days away from us if traveling by wolf. That made the idea of an attack now hard to believe.

And then there was Natasha, the spirited, happy-go-lucky charmer who'd managed to become her best friend in a matter of days.

And if only she knew that I was expecting, carrying the child that would secure my place by Tristan's side and continue the Knight bloodline.
